The refreshed 2027 Mercedes-Benz GLE gets head-turning styling updates, refined powertrains, and updated technology.
The Mercedes-Benz GLE is the German luxury brand’s bestseller in the U.S., and it’s getting a pretty significant refresh for the 2027 model year. For starters, it gets an updated look that puts it more in line design-wise with the newer cars in the Mercedes lineup. This includes soft curves and liberal use of a tri-star motif in the lighting and grille inspired by the iconic Mercedes logo. True to form, the new GLE lineup retains a 4-cylinder base engine in the GLE 350, a more potent 6-cylinder in the GLE 450, and a muscular V8 in the GLE 580. Adding even more variety to the lineup, AMG and plug-in hybrid variants will also be available, along with a sleek coupe body style. Rounding out the changes are interior updates, the headline of which is the MBUX Superscreen spanning the entire dash, housing a digital gauge cluster, a central infotainment display, and a front passenger screen.
The 2027 Mercedes-Benz GLE is expected to hit North American dealerships in the second half of 2026.
We expect the 2027 Mercedes-Benz GLE to start in the mid-$60k range for the base GLE 350, the mid-$70k range for the GLE 450 and plug-in hybrid GLE 450e, and the low-$90k range for the V8-powered GLE 580.
