About Mercedes-Benz Mercedes-AMG C-Class

The Mercedes-AMG C-Class models are the high-performance alter-egos of Mercedes' popular compact-luxury car. Like the standard C 300 (reviewed separately), these fire-breathing variants -- C 43, C 63 and the range-topping C 63 S -- are available as a sedan, coupe or convertible. And as with the standard C-Class, these AMG versions drip with class, style, technology and impressive safety features. The difference lies in these models' power and handling. The V6-powered C 43 has impressive performance at a still-attainable price, while the C 63 models pack V8 engines and prices that start in the mid-$70,000 range. Unlike BMW's M3 and M4, no manual transmission is offered, but in every other respect the Mercedes-AMG C-Class can match or exceed the performance of its German rival.

"Bought new and one road trip 32 mpg. Decent power but no dragster. No shift knob on console. Nice looking car and should hold value in long term. Maintenance could be expensive but got the mid range maintenance package. Nice back up camera. Not a heavy car. Rides nice. Smaller trunk . Passengers say backseat is comfortable. Lots of gadgets and switches but I am old school and prefer a few knobs...I guess its the 21 century. Still like my Jeep Wrangler. 4k discount off with P2 package"

Pros: "quality is not there"

Cons: "looks good but doesnt drive good."

"My car is less than 55K and already exhibits multiple leaks in the engine, oil, axels, spark valves etc. Also has ESP problems, instrument problems, the passenger seat handle broke, the window rear right motor broke and window wouldnt rise. I drove their loaner for a week. A brand new 2017 CLA. I dont feel this car will perform any better. I could already feel the handles move so although covered in leather, underneath still all plastics. This generation of Benz was not made to last."

"Beautiful inside and out! 2017 model. I turn heads left and right on the road. Only thing... a unexplainable noise coming from the front left end of car in wet conditions. dealership has no clue. my car was in service for 3 weeks with no resolution. it does not impede the way it drives... just an annoying noise. new model design bugs perhaps? other than that, phenomenal car!"
