The 2016 Mercedes-Benz SLK-Class gets a new, more powerful 4-cylinder base engine, along with a new model designation, the SLK300. But it's still the same split-personality hardtop roadster we've come to love. Top up, it's a cozy and secure coupe, but put the top down and you have an open-air 2-seater guaranteed to bring a smile to your face.
New Features and Revisions
The 2016 Mercedes-Benz SLK-Class gets a new engine and model designation to go with it. A 2.0-liter turbocharged 4-cylinder backed by a new 9-speed automatic transmission now anchors the bottom of the line in the new SLK300. Option packages are simplified, and the manual transmission for the now-defunct SLK250 disappears.
