The 2025 Mercedes-Benz GLC Coupe is a luxurious and comfortable compact luxury SUV that doesn’t give up much practicality for its extra style. Pricing starts at $60,450.
Good looks and a comfortable, high-tech cabin are just the more obvious facets of the GLC Coupe’s excellence. Mercedes-Benz has brought together its best in engineering, design, user-friendly technology, and the latest in safety and software to make the GLC Coupe — like its SUV counterpart — one of the best vehicles in this class, in our estimation. You don’t even have to compromise (much) in terms of cargo space or rear legroom.
We’ve logged hundreds of hours driving and evaluating this generation of compact luxury SUVs, including the Mercedes-Benz GLC Coupe.
The GLC Coupe was updated completely last year, yet the 2025 model still receives a handful of upgrades. Newly standard on all GLC Coupe models is a center airbag, enhanced ambient lighting, 5G communication module, and the third-generation MBUX infotainment system. New options include Verde Silver Metallic and Manufaktur Alpine Grey paint, and MB-Tex simulated covering for the steering wheel. Nautical Blue Metallic and Mojave Silver paint colors have been discontinued.
The 2025 Mercedes-Benz GLC Coupe has a starting sticker price of $60,450.

Starting just over the $60,000 mark, the 2025 Mercedes-Benz GLC Coupe is on the higher end of its class, but that’s typical for coupe-like variants of luxury SUVs. The Audi Q5 Sportback and BMW X4 both start about $5,000 below the GLC Coupe. The Infiniti QX55 is a much more approachable option, starting at about $9,000 below the GLC Coupe.
Before buying a new GLC Coupe compact luxury SUV, check the Kelley Blue Book Fair Purchase Price to see what you should be paying. The GLC Coupe’s resale values are substantially higher than most vehicles in the class — only its own AMG version does better. The more you can recoup when you sell your car, the more you’ll have to roll into the next one.
Like its SUV stablemate, the 2025 GLC 300 Coupe is comfortable, with excellent ride quality. It’s also pretty peppy at 6.2 seconds from standstill to 60 mph. Its AMG alternatives — the GLC 43 Coupe and GLC 63 S E Performance Coupe (reviewed separately) — are naturally quicker and nimbler, but we think this non-AMG variant still has sufficient punch for everyday use.
By comparison, the BMW X4 xDrive30i can sprint from zero to 60 mph in six seconds, and the Audi Q5 Sportback does the deed in 5.7 seconds. That leaves the GLC 300 just at the back of a rather quick and close pack.
Fuel Economy
The most efficient version of the 2025 GLC Coupe, the GLC 300 4Matic, achieves 26 mpg combined (23 city/31 highway), which is typical for luxury compact SUVs. The Audi Q5 Sportback gets 25 mpg combined, as does the Infiniti QX55, and the BMW X4 xDrive30i is rated at 24 mpg combined.
Comfortable, classy, and full of standard high-tech, we’ve found that the GLC Coupe’s cabin doesn’t disappoint. An 11.9-inch center touchscreen complements the driver’s 12.3-inch display, the seats are well-cushioned and supportive, while we noticed that road and wind noise are kept to a minimum.
The space difference between the GLC Coupe and the SUV version isn’t that dramatic. The curvier, sloping roofline makes it look like there might not be much space behind the rear seats, but in fact there’s 18 cubic feet, only four cubic feet fewer than in the regular GLC SUV.
The Audi Q5 Sportback has more cargo space at 24.7 cubic feet, while the BMW X4 is about the same as the GLC Coupe at 18.5 cubic feet. Fold the rear seats and the GLC Coupe has 52.6 cubic feet of space. That compares well to the 56.3 cubic feet of the standard GLC, the Audi’s 51.9 cubic feet, and the BMW’s 50.5.
Regarding rear legroom, the GLC Coupe matches the SUV at a perfectly adequate 37.2 inches and beats the X4’s 35.5 inches. The Q5 Sportback is slightly roomier at 38 inches.
The whole point of a coupe-style SUV is to trade a little practicality for a dash of stylish design, which is exactly what happens with the GLC Coupe. We think it wears its proportions well, rounding off the squarer GLC SUV’s edges to create a more dynamic presence. For 2025, the exterior details remain the same, but new colors are available.
MBUX
Mercedes-Benz’s latest infotainment system, MBUX, is intuitive, looks good (to us), and is packed with features. There’s a fine screen interface, but the system also recognizes natural voice commands to change cabin temperature, navigation destination, or audio settings.
Panoramic roof
This expansive glass panel is standard and prevents the Coupe’s sloping roofline from creating any sense of claustrophobia.
Burmester audio
Also standard in the GLC Coupe, this high-end audio system includes 13 speakers and 710 watts of surround-sound output. It’s an aural delight.
Parktronic with Active Park Assist
Yet another standard feature, this system makes parking the GLC Coupe even easier, with sensors at both ends and the ability to steer into parallel parking spots.
4Matic AWD
Surprise, another standard feature. This one aids traction in inclement weather, and even has an off-road mode that uses the cameras and the center display to virtually see through the vehicle’s hood to the trail below.
Driver Assistance package
This $1,950 add-on (which we recommend choosing) bundles some of Mercedes-Benz’s most useful advanced driver aids, including stop-and-go cruise control with steering assistance, automatic lane changing, active speed limit assistance, and route-based speed adaptation.
The GLC 300 Coupe employs a 2.0-liter turbocharged 4-cylinder engine assisted by a mild hybrid system. It generates 255 horsepower and 295 lb-ft of torque. All GLC Coupe models have 4Matic all-wheel drive and a 9-speed automatic transmission as standard.
4-Year/50,000-Mile Warranty
Mercedes-Benz covers the vehicle and powertrain with warranties of four years or 50,000 miles, whichever happens first. These terms are typical among luxury automakers, but some offer longer powertrain coverage.
Safety Ratings
The 2025 Mercedes-Benz GLC SUV (on which the GLC Coupe is based) has been named a Top Safety Pick+ by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS), the agency’s highest accolade. Standard safety equipment includes blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert.

No, the Mercedes-Benz GLC Coupe hasn’t been discontinued. Not for 2025, at least. It’s always possible that Mercedes-Benz may realign its plans in the future, however.
The GLC Coupe competes most directly with the Audi Q5 Sportback and the BMW X4. The Infiniti QX55 is also a compact luxury coupe-like SUV, although it is much more affordable. The Porsche Macan shares some characteristics with the GLC Coupe as well, but isn’t a direct competitor.
GLC Coupes bound for the United States are made in Mercedes-Benz’s Bremen and Sindelfingen plants in Germany. The GLC Coupe is also assembled in China for the Chinese market.
