What Owners are Saying About the 2026 Mercedes-Benz GLE
"The GLE is very impressive"
"Have only about 1000 miles on my GLE 350. The interior is best in class, exterior is conservative however tasteful unlike the Lexus RX , which IMHO is drastic and has become boring. The 350 is not quick from a dead stop, in all other situations power is more than adequate. Cruising at 90mph is effortless and extremely comfortable. Problems I’ve encountered thus far is an inconsistent whistling sound from driver’s side mirror, gas tank filler door is not perfectly flush with body. Both are items I have chosen to just live with for now. The 450 is probably better suited for this vehicle, however it is about $6k more and for 95% of all driving situations is realistically not needed. Tested the Lexus RX as well as the BMW X5 , eliminated the RX rather quickly, and the X5 just seemed to be a generation behind, however a great vehicle. There are many posts talking about problems with the GLE and how Mercedes has come down in quality, I hope that it is not true. I’ve had 2 BMWs and 5 Mercedes and quality has not been an issue with any of them. Most owners would not bother posting anything if there were no problems, therefore we are overwhelmingly reading the posts of individuals experiencing some issues, however minor they may be. I love driving my GLE 350, and I have zero second thoughts regarding my decision."
"my first mercedes, something different"
"I love it, it is my first Mercedes, I have had all kinds of utility vehicles, Porsche cayenne, macan, BMW x5, x3, Toyota land cruiser, Audi q5, and I tell you change me For Mercedes Benz GLE 450 2020, good response, it is comfortable She feels safe, she has poise in the curves, I love all the electronics, the truck is beautiful, it looks like a bear, I took it to Georgia, in the mountains I proved it offroad, excellent, I only ask for some more mixed tires, I am Adventurer, happy family, comfortable in adventure, we saw bears, we passed rivers, I would buy it again, I recommend the 450 is the most adventurous, 350 lacks character, the 53 amg more city."
"Unreliable! Horrible built quality."
"I usually make reviews after 10,000 miles or so, just to help people to make a right decision when buying a car. I bought my 2025 GLE450 for $90,000 in April 2nd. 2025 and sold it in June 18th. 2025 ( 2 months and 16 days ) the next day I took delivery of my car I had a problem on the driver dash display, it kept going blank, I took it to service the car stayed in service for 7 days and they couldn’t fix it !. I Brought it back to service and after 15days again they couldn’t fix it! My car supposed to have a 360 Guard as its stated in the specifications sheet, I found out No it didn’t have it! They told me it has a build in dash cam, I found out the camera in the windshield is just a dummy not a real camera! That’s what the Mercedes service advisor told me, and confirmed by another dealership service advisor! The rear camera keeps extending and retracting as long as the vehicle speed in the range of 16-22 miles, for a city driving and heavy traffic expect the camera to extend and retract endlessly, and the clicking noise was vey annoying. The front windshield wiper from the driver side keeps hitting the upper left corner and I had to live with that TAK TAK TAK noise while the wipers are ON, unfortunately this common on Mercedes as I was told by the service advisor and there is nothing that they can do about it, I had a 2025 E350 also had a windshield wipers noise even after changing the wipers! Even if I hold the steering with both hands on a 10 and 2 o’clock positions, I keep getting the red warning on my dash telling me to hold the steering it kept repeating the warning every 2 minutes or so! The cruise control is very dangerous, both my 2025 E350 and 2025 GLE450 had the tendency to slam on the brakes for NO reason, No object and No cars in front of me, so if you are driving at the highway speed limit, expect the car to suddenly brakes and slow down your speed to 35 miles per hour, or sometimes to a full stop! The middle touch capacitive button on the left side of steering wheel is very very sensitive, the middle display on your dash will keep changing constantly because of and sensitive touch will cause the display to change. I loved the car, very comfortable, powerful, luxurious, but unreliable and the build quality is very disappointing. Please think carefully before you spend 80-90 thousands of dollars on Mercedes."
