The big news for the 2014 Audi A7 is the addition of a diesel engine model and a new, high-performance RS 7, the most powerful RS model ever offered in the U.S. Other changes include the removal of the rear bucket seats on A7 and the deletion of the Premium trim.

Newly introduced just last year, the Audi A7 carries into 2013 with no major changes. The late-introduction S7 likewise goes unchanged.

About Audi S7

If you were to combine style, function, technology and individualism into just one automobile, you'd get the 2016 Audi A7. Though its silhouette mimics a coupe in a sedan's suit, the A7 is neither. With its rear liftgate and open cargo space, the A7 is actually one of the world's sexiest hatchbacks. As is often the case with Audi, this German luxury car comes with the brand's Quattro all-wheel-drive system, making it surefooted no matter the road or season. The best of Audi's other traits are also abundant, including an innovative infotainment system and excellent ergonomics. A bevy of engine choices are available, including powerful V8s in the S7 and RS 7 performance models. Starting near $70,000, though, the A7's fine attributes don't come cheap.

"Own a 2016 S7. Gorgeous car. Best part is if you are a "faster" driver, the passing speed is incomparable. Massage seats are great for a long drive as is comfort mode. The B&O sound system is worth it if you are a music lover. Not a good buy for the money-will be the most expensive car I plan to own, but well worth it in my mind. Is a gas guzzler but that should be expected to some extent with this model."

"Had this car for a little over 3 months. It still brings a smile to my face every time I see it and more so when I need to accelerate. Handles quite well, yet can give a smooth comfortable ride as well. It really is a fantastic balance - aggressive handling when you want it, and able to deliver a quiet smooth commute as well - just change the mode."

Pros: "Beautiful, fun to drive and quite practical"

Cons: "Price premium"

"I have the much maligned TDI version that I Loove! Hopefully they will sort out the discrepancy with EPA because the benefits of new generation diesel far surpasses the gasoline engine technology. The torque advantage is incredible especially in low to midrange speeds and Toyota Corolla gas mileage is hard to beat. This is one of the few cars that looks great from any angle and I get compliments on a regular basis. I opted for the sport suspension with 20" wheels so the ride is a bit harsh but a reasonable compromise. Handles quite well in sweeping curves. I love the hatchback design for it's practicality and my friend with an A6 is quite impressed with the size of the trunk. Bottom line...is it worth minimum 10K over A6? I said yes and so far so good."
