The 2027 Q9 brings Audi’s signature style and elegance to the full-size segment with its all-new 3-row SUV.
The 2027 Q9 is the first full-size 3-row SUV from Audi and features innovative tech and luxurious interior appointments in a stylish exterior package. Pricing starts at $89,095.
For the first time Audi offers customers looking for a 3-row SUV a full-sized option. While the design feels every bit an Audi, it feels distinct and athletic. While not as large as some others in the full-size category, the Q9 excels in the cargo space arena. Innovative tech on the exterior, in lighting design and features, and interior, including standard across-dash screens and magnetic smartphone chargers, the Audi Q9 looks to be a major player in the large luxury SUV space.
Pricing starts at $89,095.
We have not driven the 2027 Audi Q9 at this time, but come back here for future updates.
While there are enough interior goodies to write a novella about, there are a few that stand out. The Q9 provides generous cargo space. Behind the third row offers more than just a nominal patch of carpet with its 19.3 cubic feet of storage. Behind the second row, depending on configuration, you’re looking at up to 50 cubic feet.
The Q9 can be configured in either 6- or 7-passenger setups. The former includes two second-row Captain’s chairs with heating and ventilation as well as optional headrest speakers depending on trim level. The 7-passenger version has a second-row bench seat. It comes standard and accommodates three side-by-side car seats with the LATCH system. Getting into the third row is easy — even with three seats in.
Materials and finishes in the Q9 feel and look luxurious. Buyers can opt for seat coverings ranging from sustainable synthetics to Nappa leather. There is no piano black plastic to be found, and the once-annoying steering wheel controls have been swapped for capacitive touch buttons. Hooray!
Screens stretch the length of the entire dash and come standard, even for the passenger. An Android Automotive-based UX system using a ChatGPT-based engine will help find points of interest based on your voice commands.
Audi features automatic opening doors for the first time on any of their vehicles. With wide, near 90-degree openings, this function will come in very handy when a driver’s hands are full and helping either children or folks with additional needs into and out of the vehicle.
Innovative lighting surrounds every part of the Q9. The Digital Matrix headlights, which shed maximum light while not be a nuisance to either oncoming traffic or vehicles in front of the Q9, feel nothing short of magic in this age of blinding LEDs.
The Audi Q9 suite of driving assistance includes a Level 2+ hands-free driving mode. This will be a first for Audi, and given most competitors already feature it, it doesn’t come a moment too soon.
