The 2023 Chrysler 300 is old-school cool. Its classy styling still stands out more than a decade after this second-generation model debuted, and the driving experience offers a bit of nostalgia in a modern car. Now in its final model year, the 300 continues to offer a spacious interior, intuitive technology, and muscular performance with two V8 engine options. The full-size 300 is mechanically similar to the Dodge Charger, and its closest competitors in big sedans are the Nissan Maxima and the hybrid Toyota Crown.
2023 Chrysler 300 pricing starts at $26,048 for the 300 300 Touring Sedan 4D, which had a starting MSRP of $37,740 when new. The range-topping 2023 300 300C Sedan 4D starts at $41,103 today, originally priced from $56,595.

The Kelley Blue Book Fair Purchase Price for any individual used vehicle can vary greatly according to mileage, condition, location, and other factors. The prices here reflect what buyers are currently paying for used 2023 Chrysler 300 models in typical condition when purchasing from a dealership. These prices are updated weekly.
The driving experience of the Chrysler 300 reflects its personality as a modern take on an old-school, full-size sedan. Thanks to its long wheelbase and compliant suspension, the 300 is a comfortable highway cruiser. With the standard comfort suspension system, we’d have no gripes about a cross-country road trip in the 300, and neither would rear-seat passengers.
Things get a bit sportier if you upgrade to one of the 300S models. Available with a more sport-tuned V6 or a V8, the 300S also comes with sport mode and a performance-tuned suspension system that prioritizes agility over long-distance comfort. In our testing, we found the 300S models to behave a bit more like a sport sedan, but they don’t compromise too much on comfort.
The Hemi V8 in the 300S trim adds more power and personality to this sedan. It’s truly one of the last of its kind as a full-size, rear-wheel-drive, V8-powered sedan from an American brand. If you’re looking for that experience in a modern car rather than a land yacht from the 1990s, the Chrysler 300 is one of the only cars on the market where you can get it.
We expect the driving experience of the new 300C to be much like the similarly equipped Dodge Charger Scat Pack, which delivers rip-roaring muscle car fun in a reasonably practical 4-door package.
Vast interior space is one of the strong suits of the Chrysler 300. Some full-size sedans don’t feel all that full-size in the rear seats, but the 300 has adult-friendly rear-seat headroom and legroom and a big trunk to boot.
We like all of the interior space and the user-friendly infotainment system in the 300, but the interior design is a bit dated in 2023. This interior felt fresh when it was last updated in 2015, but competitors like the Nissan Maxima and Toyota Crown look and feel more modern from the driver’s seat.
Ever since the current Chrysler 300 debuted in 2011, it’s had an imposing presence and distinct design that’s instantly recognizable. The 300S models come with a sporty appearance package, and the 300C takes it further with a black mesh grille, round exhaust outlets, and unique badging.
In terms of size, the Chrysler 300 is similar to the Dodge Charger and Toyota Crown, and it’s bigger than the Nissan Maxima.
Uconnect 4C
The standard Uconnect 4C infotainment system has a big screen and a user-friendly interface. Android Auto and Apple CarPlay come standard. It’s available with extra features like navigation and an Alpine premium audio system.
Muscular engines
The 2023 Chrysler 300 has three engine options; you can’t go wrong with any of them. The standard V6 makes up to 300 horsepower and returns good fuel economy, while the two available V8 engines make this Chrysler a 4-door muscle car.
Available AWD
Standard V6-powered Chrysler 300 models (Touring and Touring L) are available with all-wheel drive. It defaults to sending all the power to the rear wheels and shifts power to the front wheels when you need extra traction.
Roomy interior
The Chrysler 300 is a full-size sedan with a spacious cabin. It has supportive seats, adult-friendly rear legroom, and a big trunk making it a roomy, comfy cruiser.
SafetyTec Plus Group
This option package adds a long list of modern driver assistance tech features. It includes adaptive cruise control, automatic high beams, advanced brake assist, and more.
300C
The Chrysler 300C is back for 2023, now with a pulse-pounding V8 making 485 hp. It also has a sporty appearance package, upgraded brakes, exhaust, and suspension, and a revised interior.
The 2023 Chrysler 300 lineup offers a choice of three engines.
Standard V6
The standard V6 powering the Chrysler 300 is the most prudent choice for most drivers. It returns pretty good fuel economy for a car this size while delivering ample power and torque. The standard V6 is also the only engine in the 300 available with all-wheel drive, further adding to its practicality.
3.6-liter V6
292 horsepower (300 hp in 300S) @ 6,350 rpm
260 lb-ft of torque (264 lb-ft in 300S) @ 4,800 rpm
EPA city/highway fuel economy: 19/30 mpg (RWD), 18/27 mpg (AWD)
Powerful 300S V8
This Hemi V8 engine makes the Chrysler 300 a 4-door muscle car. Available exclusively with the 300S V8 trim, this engine significantly upgrades power and torque over the standard V6, along with a more satisfying exhaust note. A couple of downsides: There’s a fuel economy penalty, and you can’t get the V8 with AWD.
5.7-liter V8
363 horsepower @ 5,200 rpm
394 lb-ft of torque @ 4,200 rpm
EPA city/highway fuel economy: 16/25 mpg
Mighty 300C
Chrysler has taken the Hemi V8 that powers the Scat Pack models of the Dodge Charger and Dodge Challenger and put it under the hood of the Chrysler 300C. This essentially makes the 300 a Dodge Charger Scat Pack in a more premium, upscale package. Production of the 300 with this engine is limited, and Chrysler says reservations are already full.
6.4-liter V8
485 horsepower @ 6,100 rpm
475 lb-ft @ 4,100 rpm
EPA city/highway fuel economy: 15/24 mpg
More 300 fuel economy information is available on the EPA’s website.
The 2023 Chrysler 300 is backed by a 3-year/36,000-mile basic warranty and a 5-year/60,000-mile powertrain warranty. This coverage is average for this class.

Electronic stability control
It’s mandatory, of course, but the setup in the 2023 Chrysler 300 includes automatic brake drying, Ready Alert braking (where the brakes apply slight pressure if the driver steps off the throttle suddenly), hill start assist, and all-speed traction control.
Blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert
This becomes standard at the Touring L level. On the highway, it warns of vehicles in or approaching the driver’s blind spot. In a parking lot, it watches for vehicles coming down the aisle to boost confidence when backing out of a tight space with poor visibility.
SafetyTec Plus Group
Some of these features are standard in rival cars, but they’re optional in the 2023 Chrysler 300. This bundle includes forward-collision warning with automatic emergency braking, adaptive cruise control, lane-departure warning/lane-keeping assistance, automatic high beams, and rain-sensing wipers.
