Best Overall Brand: Subaru
Subaru has won this award for the second year in a row, and it’s easy to see why. Over the past couple of years, Subaru’s product line has undergone quite a transformation. The company entered the 3-row midsize SUV segment with the Subaru Ascent. At that same time, the Outback and Forester SUVs and the Legacy sedan were also redesigned. They are all more upscale and have more advanced safety than ever before. Subaru has established a reputation as a company that provides standard all-wheel drive on its SUVs and sedans, and is also known for its acclaimed EyeSight suite of driver assists.

Best Overall Luxury Brand: Tesla
Last year, Tesla captured the Overall Brand Award for luxury vehicles along with five of the six categories. This year, it continues in the top overall spot and accounts for four category wins. Its success in the marketplace by producing over 400,000 vehicles last year is evidence of the high regard shoppers hold this relative newcomer to the industry. Its model range continues to expand with the addition of the Model Y compact SUV and, in the not-too-distant future, the Cybertruck electric pickup.
