The Porsche Cayenne Electric is an all-new model. Not the Cayenne part, but the Electric element. Both base model and Turbo punch out impressive zero-to-60 mph times with incredible horsepower numbers. Active Ride and additional aerodynamic elements control copious amounts of power, allowing the driver to carefully wield the Cayenne Electric’s kinetic energy. The interior exudes luxury, with an all-new curved OLED screen for excellent driver/car interaction. A vehicle that can catapult drivers like a rocket yet still feel grand and practical inside? Affirmative.
The 2026 Porsche Cayenne Electric has a starting sticker price of $111,350, with the range-topping Cayenne Electric Turbo kicking off at $165,350. But Kelley Blue Book Fair Purchase Pricing currently suggests paying $350 to $4,350 less than MSRP, depending on trim and equipment. These prices are updated weekly.

Expectations with the Porsche badge exist for a good reason. The heritage is much to live up to. Naysayers might think an EV isn’t up to snuff. Poppycock. The Cayenne Electric lives up to the badge. Even with a mere 402 horsepower, plus a boost to 436 hp using launch control, the Cayenne Electric feels quick. Though we will note that the Subaru Trailseeker does a zero-to-60 a 10th of a second quicker. Regardless of which Cayenne Electric you choose an air suspension and adaptive dampers come standard. Though Porsche’s Active Ride, an advanced hydraulic suspension system, is not available on the base model. Rear-wheel steering up to 5 degrees helps control the heavy SUV around turns and in tight quarters.
On the Turbo model, wait, how is an EV a Turbo? That’s because it’s insanely quick, that’s how. With 844 hp, 1,140 horses with overboost (yes, you read that correctly) the Cayenne Turbo won’t just blow your hair back it will blow it off. It will temporarily leave your insides back where you started until your humanity catches up. While it is an EV, drivers craving that V8 experience can engage simulated gurgles and burbles. Helping control all that inertia drivers get a rear differential locker, Porsche’s superb Torque Vectoring Plus and Porsche Stability Management System. Front and rear motors give you both power and the necessary grip to accompany it.
Porsche provides the Cayenne Electric with regenerative braking but it’s not a setting the driver can control. You do that through drive modes. There’s nothing close to a one-pedal driving experience and that’s deliberate. Porsche doesn’t think it’s a very Porsche attribute. I honestly can’t see that many customers disagreeing with them.
This remains an SUV and the Cayenne Electric can perform off-road duties. Its air suspension raises the SUV as high as 9.6 inches at lower speeds, and a front-facing camera helps you with tire placement. With its 1,100-pound feet of torque, the Cayenne Electric Turbo can easily scale steep and muddy inclines.
| Model | Horsepower | Torque | Range |
| Porsche Cayenne Electric | 435 hp | 615 lb-ft | 322 miles |
| Porsche Cayenne S Electric | 657 hp | 796 lb-ft | 325 miles |
| Porsche Cayenne Electric Turbo | 1,139 hp | 1,106 lb-ft | 303 miles |
Analog, the Porsche Cayenne is not. Screens stretch from pillar to pillar across the dash if you so choose. The digital instrument panel echoes the 5-gauge Porsche design of the past, however. Haptic buttons are the manner in which you’ll interact. The Ferry Pad will help you maneuver the curved screen that stretches onto the center console.
It’s still an SUV, so it’s full of practicality and storage cubbies. It’s also a Porsche, and if you’ve been on the manufacturer’s website configuration tool, you’ll know you can outfit your Porsches six ways to Sunday. Interiors are swathed in leather and high-end appointments. Highly adjustable seats feel sport-bucket supportive for when you’re thrashing around turns. The roomy second row splits into a 40-20-40 configuration. You can lower the center seat to haul larger or longer items such as skis.
Cayenne electric architecture
This is impressive business. It has an 800-volt charging capacity, which allows for charging up to 390kW. That means you can go from 10% to 80% of full range in 16 minutes at a fast-charging station with that capability. When you get home, Porsche’s introducing induction charging. Think of this as a wireless charger for your car. You can charge easily overnight.
Curved OLED display
At first, this might seem gimmicky, but it’s a handy piece of kit. It’s highly visible while driving and surprisingly ergonomic to operate while driving the car, and has a rest to stabilize your wrist.
Heated door panels and armrests
Welcome to the new luxury. More than just the seats, Porsche will snug you up in the morning in cocoon-like fashion. That ambient heat surrounds the driver quickly and comfortably. It’s the heating equivalent of surround sound. Just don’t get too cozy and fall asleep. You’ve got a quick vehicle to drive.
