If you’ve always liked the Camry, you’ll like this one. If you’ve never liked the Camry, just be prepared to add one more car to the list of midsize sedans you’d consider.
There are still more stylish and more fun to drive midsize sedans out there, if that’s what you’re looking for, including the Ford Fusion, Nissan Altima and Hyundai Sonata, as well as the Honda Accord.
The 2015 Toyota Camry is based on the same foundation as the 2012-2014 models, but features new sheet metal, an updated interior and crisper driving response.
The Toyota Camry has been the best-selling car in the country for more than a decade, but if you exclude sales to rental car agencies and such, the title goes to the more stylish and lively Honda Accord. Even Camry buyers have expressed a taste for something a little edgier, with almost half opting for the sportier-themed Camry SE. So in a straightforward case of giving buyers what they want, Toyota has released the most stylish, most responsive Camry ever. The exterior has been almost completely redesigned, the interior has been freshened with new materials, designs and technologies, and the steering, braking and suspension have all been revised for more responsive driving manners. Combined with the famous reliability and strong resale values that have helped build the Toyota Camry into an automotive legend, the new Camry is destined for even greater heights.
2015 Toyota Camry pricing starts at $11,386 for the Camry LE Sedan 4D, which had a starting MSRP of $24,164 when new. The range-topping 2015 Camry Hybrid XLE Sedan 4D starts at $11,990 today, originally priced from $31,174.

The Kelley Blue Book Fair Purchase Price for any individual used vehicle can vary greatly according to mileage, condition, location, and other factors. The prices here reflect what buyers are currently paying for used 2015 Toyota Camry models in typical condition when purchasing from a dealership. These prices are updated weekly.
Revised steering, braking and suspension tuning have given the 2015 Toyota Camry a livelier, more responsive feel, but Toyota’s midsize sedan still qualifies as one of the most comfortable, easy-to-drive midsize sedans you can buy. Toyota says increased insulation helps make it the quietest Camry ever, a claim we find easy to believe. The 178-horsepower 4-cylinder engine remains the right choice for most buyers, but the smooth 268-horsepower V6 does have its appeal (and its combined fuel economy figure is just 3 mpg shy of the 4-cylinder’s). Spend some time on the highway before committing to the new Camry XSE, as its more stylish 18-inch wheels force a bigger compromise in ride quality than you might be willing to make.
The inside of the 2015 Toyota Camry isn’t as new as the outside, but the change is apparent as soon as you settle in. With upgraded materials, designs and technologies, the new Camry simply feels fresher and more contemporary than its predecessor. Gone, for instance, is the outmoded LED clock module that sat front-and-center at the top of the center stack in the outgoing model, and now, even a base Camry LE includes a 6.1-inch touch screen.
Have you ever seen a more stylish Camry? We haven’t. Bookended by a bold, eye-catching front end and a nicely detailed rear, the stylish – but not outlandish – Camry is sure to attract new buyers without scaring away longtime devotees. The new look also promises to stand the test of time better than some of the segment’s more novel styles, which tend to age faster. For buyers who want a little extra edge, the Camry SE and new Camry XSE offer slightly more aggressive notes.
WIRELESS CHARGING
The new Camry is the first midsize sedan to offer available wireless charging for cell phones. Most phones require a special case to take advantage of the feature, but the Camry allows you to just toss your phone into the bin ahead of the transmission selector, and it charges on the go.
ENTUNE INFOTAINMENT
The top-end Entune infotainment system features a 7-inch high-resolution touch screen, navigation, USB and Bluetooth phone and audio connectivity, integrated apps like Pandora and Yelp, plus three years of complimentary access to traffic, weather, fuel prices, sports scores and stock prices.
At its starting sticker price of just under $24,000 including destination charges, the 2015 Toyota Camry features Toyota’s Entune infotainment system with a touch screen display, USB device connectivity, voice recognition, and a backup camera, plus Bluetooth wireless phone and audio connectivity. The Toyota Camry also includes a 60/40 split-folding rear seat, notable only because its chief competitor, the Honda Accord, offers just a one-piece folding rear seat. The Camry also comes with 2-year/25,000-mile no-cost maintenance and two years of roadside assistance regardless of mileage, plus a long list of standard safety equipment, including 10 airbags.
A fully loaded 2015 Toyota Camry XLE tops out just under $35,000 with a V6 engine, moonroof, leather, keyless entry and start, wireless phone charging, and the range-topping Entune infotainment system highlighted in the Favorite Features section of this review. It will also apply the brakes if it senses an impending collision, and alert the driver if the vehicle drifts out of its lane, if there’s a vehicle in a blind spot, or if there’s a vehicle approaching while you’re backing out of a parking space. Other highlights include adaptive cruise control, auto high beams, and a Safety Connect system that includes automatic collision notification and a stolen vehicle locator.
The Camry’s proven powertrain lineup remains competitive in power and fuel economy. The 4-cylinder engine is by far the most popular choice, but the more powerful V6 is rated to return just three fewer miles per gallon in city/highway-combined driving. We also like the gasoline-electric hybrid powertrain, which delivers an instant-electric kick off the line. With that said, the Accord Hybrid is the current gas-electric midsize sedan to beat. All Camrys are front-wheel drive, and the 4- and 6-cylinder engines are matched with a 6-speed automatic transmission.
