The 2015 BMW 2 Series adds two all-wheel-drive models this year, the 228i xDrive coupe and convertible, and the M235i xDrive coupe, putting it on more competitive footing against AWD rivals from Audi and Mercedes-Benz. The 228i model also offers a Track Handling Package for enhanced handling performance.

The 2014 BMW 2 Series is 4-seat, 2-door coupe and an all-new nameplate for the U.S. market.

About BMW 2 Series

Offered in coupe or convertible, the 2016 BMW 2 Series is a complete line that includes three all-wheel-drive models. BMW’s Intelligent AWD is sophisticated enough to challenge Audi’s long-established quattro and Mercedes-Benz’s 4Matic. Light, tossable and vaguely reminiscent of an old 2002ti or 318i, this entry-level Bimmer delivers all the modern conveniences of the 4 Series cars in a smaller, more affordable package. More powerful than the Audi A3 or Acura ILX, the 2 Series is a true driver’s car, offering such options as the Track Handling Package that turns an already capable performer into a superstar in the curves. Those who insist on four doors will have to wait until the new 1 Series makes its debut, expected sometime in 2017.

"I have not owned my 228i long enough to comment on reliability, but fully expect the reliability and quality will be top notch as it was on my previously owned 328i and 535i sedans. My 228i offers a very comfortable ride, is very quiet on the open road and is lots of fun to drive. I am also very pleased with the quality sound of the radio. Choosing to purchase another BMW was a very good decision."

"Having previously owned a 328i I was pleasantly surprised with the power and performance of my new 228i. The car is very fun to drive and has a very solid feel. The cockpit has an advanced feel and all of the materials feel high quality. Is a bit pricier then the competitors but having test drove them all I am happy with my selection. Highly recommend."

Pros: "Great to drive anywhere anytime"

"I did the Euro delivery on my M235xdrive car last February at the BMW Welt. It was the 2nd time we did Euro delivery and it was just fabulous. We drove through Germany, Austria and Switzerland in the dead of winter and never had any problems driving on snow or in the mountains. The Euro delivery gives you your own travel agent and discounts on hotels etc. I would highly recommend the trip. The only downside is that you do not have your car fro approx. 6 weeks from the time you drop it off until you get it at your dealership. I have had the car for 14 months and I have never had a single problem. I am averaging 23.5 miles to a gallon in the city and 31 mpg on the road. It handles great in snow and ice, rain and sun. The michelin super sport A/S 3 all season tires work great in any road conditions. I have owned BMW's since 1982 (including a 1992 M3 and a 2000 M5) and this is by far the best overall BMW I have owned."
