A multiple Kelley Blue Book award winner, the 2025 Kia Telluride is an all-around excellent SUV, and a remarkable value in the 8-seater SUV space. The Telluride comes with eight seats in base form, with available second-row captain’s chairs. 4. 2025 Mazda CX-90

With a premium design and upscale cabin, the 2025 Mazda CX-90 doesn’t look as affordable as it is. It’s also great to drive, comfortable, and well-equipped. The base model is an 8-seater, and it comes with a 280-horsepower turbocharged 6-cylinder engine in base form. Third-row legroom measures up at 30.4 inches, and there’s 14.9 cubic feet of storage behind the third row.

5. 2025 Subaru Ascent
Price With 8-Passenger Seating: $40,330
The 2025 Subaru Ascent combines the familiar Subaru formula of standard all-wheel drive (AWD), excellent standard safety equipment, and a roomy cabin, and combines it with seating for up to eight passengers. The 2025 Toyota Highlander is the latest version of a beloved family SUV, and it, too, is an 8-seater in base form. Debuting just last year in the Toyota lineup, the 2025 Toyota Grand Highlander might sound like a fancier version of the Highlander, but it’s actually a completely new vehicle — and it is somewhat larger. 10. 2025 Nissan Armada
Price With 8-Passenger Seating: $59,530
All-new with fresh style and the latest tech, the 2025 Nissan Armada is a considerable value. A turbocharged V6 replaces the previous V8 engine, but output rises to 425 horsepower. The QX80 also offers available 4WD, a comfortable ride, an upscale cabin, and up to 8,500 pounds of towing capacity. The third row is considerably larger this year, with 32.9 inches of legroom, and there’s 20.4 cubic feet of cargo space behind the rear seat. All trim levels of the Armada can be configured with eight seats, from the base model on up to Platinum Reserve.

11. 2025 Chevrolet Tahoe
Price With 8-Passenger Seating: $61,995
Moving up to the full-size category with the likes of the Armada, the 2025 Chevrolet Tahoe comes with a big jump in price, but it also comes with a big jump in capability. The Tahoe can seat as few as seven or as many as nine occupants and comes in an 8-seater configuration in the base trim. There’s 25.5 cubic feet of space behind the third row, and the Tahoe’s standard V8 engine and truck-based frame give it the ability to tow up to 8,400 pounds.

12. 2025 Jeep Wagoneer
Price With 8-Passenger Seating: $62,040
A relative newcomer to the full-size SUV space — or a welcome return entrant, from a longer perspective — the 2025 Jeep Wagoneer is roomy, upscale, and offers 8-passenger seating in base form for both the standard-length Wagoneer and longer Wagoneer L. Both models offer 36.6 inches of third-row legroom, with the Wagoneer L ($65,040) packing up to 44.2 cubic feet behind the rearmost seat and the shorter model offering 27.4 cubic feet.

13. 2025 Ford Expedition
Price With 8-Passenger Seating: $63,995
Ford’s answer to the Tahoe/Yukon, the 2025 Ford Expedition is all-new this year and is also available in a longer version, the Expedition Max. A 400-horsepower twin-turbocharged V6 powers base Expedition variants, with a 440-hp version available. The Expedition can tow up to 9,600 pounds. Third legroom is very good at 36.5 inches in both standard and Max form, but the Max ($66,995) does outshine in cargo space behind the third row at 36.1 cubic feet compared to the standard model’s 21.6 cubic feet.

14. 2025 Chevrolet Suburban
Price With 8-Passenger Seating: $64,195
The 2025 Chevrolet Suburban is to the Tahoe as the Yukon XL is to the Yukon — essentially just a longer version of the same vehicle. If you’re looking for serious cargo space, this is a good choice, as the Suburban can pack 41.5 cubic feet of cargo behind the third row, and third-row legroom is substantial, too, at 36.7 inches. There are plenty of upgrade paths if you desire, but you only need the base model to seat eight.

15. 2025 Toyota Sequoia
Price With 8-Passenger Seating: $64,370
The 2025 Toyota Sequoia can be configured to tow up to 9,520 pounds, offers a 437-horsepower hybrid drivetrain in all trims, and is an 8-seater by default. There’s 22.3 cubic feet of cargo space behind the sliding third row and up to 33.7 inches of third-row legroom. Towing tip: Four-wheel drive is available, but to get the max tow rating, you’ll want to choose the base SR5 with rear-wheel drive (RWD).

16. 2025 GMC Yukon
Price With 8-Passenger Seating: $69,395
A near-twin to the Tahoe, the refreshed 2025 GMC Yukon is more expensive because it comes with more equipment, with a default 8-seater configuration and both 7- and 9-passenger configurations available. Like the Tahoe, the Yukon is a highly capable truck-based SUV, able to tow up to 8,400 pounds, with a standard 355-horsepower V8 engine and available 4WD. If you need even more cargo space, check out the Yukon XL ($72,395). Third-row legroom is excellent at 34.9 inches, and there’s 25.5 cubic feet of space behind the third row.

17. 2025 Land Rover Defender 130
Price With 8-Passenger Seating: $71,325
The 2025 Land Rover Defender 130 is a true luxury SUV with a genuine off-roading pedigree as well. The base Defender 130 comes with 8-passenger seating, third-row legroom of 31.6 inches, 15.3 cubic feet of cargo space behind the third row, and up to 8,201 pounds of towing capacity. All Defender models get standard 4WD, and there’s an available 493-horsepower V8 or a bonkers 626-horsepower Octa variant. The most affordable 8-passenger version is the Defender S 130 with the P300 turbocharged 6-cylinder engine.

18. 2025 Infiniti QX80
Price With 8-Passenger Seating: $84,445
Although it’s anything but cheap, the 2025 Infiniti QX80 is the most affordable in its class, namely the full-size luxury SUV segment, despite being all-new this year. It comes with a 450-horsepower twin-turbocharged V6, can tow up to 8,500 pounds, and offers 8-passenger seating in the base Luxe trim when equipped with the no-cost second-row bench seat option, replacing the standard second-row captain’s chairs. Second-row legroom is expansive at 39.2 inches, while the third row’s 32.9 inches of legroom expands upon last year’s by nearly 5 inches. Behind the third row, you’ll find 22 cubic feet of cargo space, or up to 101 cubic feet with both rows of rear seats folded.

19. 2025 Jeep Grand Wagoneer
Price With 8-Passenger Seating: $87,635
Last year, our most expensive (base price) 8-seater SUV was the 2025 Jeep Grand Wagoneer, but the 2025 base model is about $6,000 cheaper. Like the Escalade and Navigator, the Grand Wagoneer is also available in a longer form (Grand Wagoneer L, starting at $104,635), but the most affordable 8-seat configuration is the base model with the $595 second-row bench seat package. Despite the size and price, you won’t find a V8 engine under the hood. Instead, you’ll get a 510-horsepower twin-turbocharged inline-6. As for space, there’s plenty, with 42.7 inches of second-row legroom and 36.6 inches in the third row, plus 28.4 cubic feet behind the third row.

20. 2025 Cadillac Escalade
Price With 8-Passenger Seating: $90,295
Immense, imposing, and inimitable, the 2025 Cadillac Escalade is one of the benchmarks of the American luxury full-size SUV world, and it just got refreshed looks and tech. Getting the most affordable 8-seater version of the Escalade is easy — just choose the base Luxury trim with rear-wheel drive, and add the no-cost second-row bench seat package. The Escalade offers 25.5 cubic feet of cargo space behind the third row (or 41.5 cubic feet in extended-length Escalade ESV form) and even packs in 34.9 inches of third-row legroom (36.6 inches in the ESV, which starts at $93,295).

21. 2025 Lincoln Navigator
Price With 8-Passenger Seating: $101,990
The other long-time benchmark of the class, the 2025 Lincoln Navigator is all-new, and the new model is noticeably more expensive than the Escalade. The standard 440-horsepower twin-turbo V6 is impressive, and the Navigator’s Black Label trim takes things into serious luxury territory. Available in both standard and long (Navigator L) versions, the new Navigator comes with 8-passenger seating standard, but can be configured as a 7-seater with luxurious second-row captain’s chairs and a center console. The third row is spacious, with 36.5 inches of legroom, and there’s plenty of cargo volume, too, with up to 107 cubic feet total and 21.6 cubic feet behind the third row. The Navigator L ($104,980) expands those figures to 121.6 cubic feet total and 36.1 cubic feet behind the rearmost seat.
