What Owners are Saying About the 2004 Volvo V40
"Love this car"
"I bought his car used, fell in love at first site and drive and haven't regreted it since. Looks good, gets great comments and above all, lives up to the Volvo reputation. Turbo has the power you need when you need it. Not many around, but that is ok by me. I love the unusual styling used in these years by Volvo. When I get in any other car, including the really high priced competitors, I am happy to have this."
"I really like this car"
"This is my 3rd Volvo and I really like it overall...it is very comfortable on road trips, gets good gas mileage for an '01 and a wagon, and it is a good size for my daughter (age 5) and me. My complaints are function...the cupholder design in the front is ridiculous...it is flimsy and when a cup is in it, it covers up the cd player/radio. Also, the radio design is not great, but the sound is good."
"Reliable and very functional"
"I've owned this car for almost 6 years and took a few long trips (>2,000miles) with this car loaded. Wagons are great because they provide you almost SUV functionality with a car mpg. I haven't have major problems with this car but keep in mind that parts are expensive, all from Europe. Brakes and tires are for performance so they wear out quicker than an average car and more expensive also. With 80k I only had to replace engine mounts, and it's time to replace the wheel bearings and shocks . This car feels very safe and sound on the freeway compared to other cars I've driven, feels really stable and smooth. Brakes and steering are great too. On the down side I think it's a little noisy for a Volvo. Overall, I recommend it."
