The family-friendly Volkswagen Atlas 3-row SUV enters an all-new generation for 2027 with a new look and updated tech.
The Volkswagen Atlas serves as the brand’s flagship SUV, designed specifically with North American tastes in mind. The Atlas enters an all-new generation with the redesigned 2027 model, with a whole new look while retaining its family-friendly virtues we love about it. The Atlas is one of the roomiest midsize 3-row SUVs on the market, making it a good choice for families who will actually use the third row every day. In addition to the aesthetic makeover, this new generation brings a revised turbo engine making 282 horsepower and updated tech that includes an available 15-inch infotainment display.
The 2027 Volkswagen Atlas will hit North American dealerships in the fall of 2026. We expect pricing to start in the low-$40k range.
The Volkswagen Atlas has historically been on the lower side of the pricing spectrum for midsize 3-row SUVs, and we expect that to continue with the redesigned 2027 model. We expect pricing to start in the low $40k range and go up to the upper-$50k range in the top trim.
