"Fantastic car, fun, strong, solid and far ahead of its time. This car was a childhood dream and its CADD design made it a technological marvel.
Was car and Driver's top 10 every year available and car of the year when it first came out in 1990.
Recommend looking for 1993 or later as there were some design improvements with added airbags, seat belt relocation and newer style injectors and wiring.
If you can find one in good condition, you will not likely lose money on your auto purchase. I have a 1994 convertible of which there are only 850 or so made for that year.
Modifications are common and fine, however you will have to be prepared for additional servicing depending on the quality and thoroughness of the changes. The more HP claimed, the greater the risk of repair.
Overall fantastic vehicle and highly recommended... compliments always given when I drive :)"
Pros: "Power and stye inside and out. A complete package."
Cons: "Fuel injectors don't like ethonal on pre1994 model"

"A styling and technological tour de force! When this vehicle hit showrooms in the fall of 1989 no other car on the planet could come close. Now some 26 years later it still has style and tech that competes with most modern sports cars."
"I had a 1994 twin turbo. This was always my dream car growing up and even now it has a timeless look. With the right body kit it doesn't look dated or even classic-just sharp. The HP doesn't hold up to today's sporty cars and this is a very heavy car that doesn't handle well in turns. It also has frequent vacuum leaks and maintenace issues. The engine / turbos really generate a lot of heat. The car also has bad blind spots that take some getting used to. I wouldn't want to drive it in a city. The car is 20 years old so some maintenance issues have to be expected.
But this car is still a head turner even today, with straight line quickness, and decent mods available. My engine went but in fairness it was probably around 500 (crank) hp with upgraded mods. This is a car you definitely want to be friendly with a mechanic and a patient one since these aren't the easiest vehicles to work on."
"This car has everything I could want in a sports car. Even after 20+ years it's still gives me a thrill when I take it on some back roads here in rural Virginia.
The KBB value is around 6-7,000 which IMHO makes is the best deal out there if you're looking for a car that can not only perform but also turn some heads.
I'll never get rid of it."
"This is the best sports car I have ever owned . It replaced my Porsche Boxster which was totaled in a accident . I should have bought a 300ZX instead of the Porsche to start with . Repairs and service was breaking me up with the Porsche . Z has only required tires, oil changes set of spark plugs and air filters . It handles as well and performance is right with the Porsche. I have owned many sports cars since the 1960's Bug eye sprite MG midget, MGB's , GT-6, 124Spyders, 260Z and the Boxster . The 300ZX is the best by far of all of these . I looked at newer Z cars and returned to my 300ZX. Does all I want and I get lots of I love your car .Would you like to sell it at gas stations . my answer No. This my last sports car."
