TCUV Gold Certifed
Toyota vehicles are always highly rated for durability and carry healthy resale values. Launched in 1996, the Toyota Certified Used Vehicle (TCUV) program makes buying a used Toyota even more attractive with a significant package of features and benefits.
TCUV Gold Certified is the top tier of Toyota’s certified pre-owned (CPO) vehicles. To qualify, used Toyota cars must be within six years of the current model year and have no more than 85,000 miles on the odometer. Eligible vehicles must pass a 160-point quality assurance inspection.
Gold Certified vehicles receive a 1-year/12,000-mile (whichever comes first from the date of used vehicle purchase) limited comprehensive warranty, a 7-year/100,000-mile (whichever comes first from the original in-service date) powertrain warranty, and seven years/100,000 miles of roadside assistance (whichever comes first from the original in-service date). Standard new-car financing rates are available for Gold Certified models.
TCUV Silver Certified
Silver Certified vehicles are used Toyota models outside the Gold Certified parameters, up to 10 model years old with between 60,000 and 125,000 miles on the clock. Silver Certified must pass a 136-point quality assurance inspection. They come with 1-year/12,000-mile (whichever comes first) of limited powertrain warranty and 24-hour roadside assistance.
Shared Benefits for All Programs
All TCUV vehicles come with a free Carfax vehicle history report. Warranties under the program are transferrable at no cost and are honored at over 1,400 Toyota dealers in the U.S. and Canada. Toyota dealers can accept trade-ins toward a TCUV purchase, and offer “trouble-free handling of your transaction, including DMV paperwork.”
