"This van was a rushed purchase after a car accident. I needed to find something fast in my price range. The dealership did a good job in cleaning it up and making it look nice. From the moment I got it home, it started to irritate me. Things were constantly wrong with it. There was a rumble in my tires that no mechanic could explain, therefore it never got fixed. There were always belts breaking or something else that needed work on it. The power steering would completely FAIL in the middle of traffic...yeah, not scary at all! The nail in the coffin was when we lost all power steering and the van overheated in the middle of traffic. Apparently the alternator shattered and bent the frame in the process. I'm not a car person, so I'm not exactly sure what that means. What I do know is that the repairs are going to cost more than the van is worth. Even the mechanic said, you might just want to get a new car. Our van has become a joke in the shop. The mechanic always says "Oh that van again!" Not good! That being said, I did like the automatic sliding doors and liftgate. It made getting the kids in and out and errands very easy. I also liked that the middle and back seats folded into the floor. LOTS of space to haul stuff. However, folded seats don't get me work, now do they?"
"Me, the wife and my daughter flew out to Phoenix, went on Craigslist and bought this after 1 road test around the block. In Phoenix you can get a 90 day permit for 30 bucks. We drove to Sedona, Flagstaff, Meteor Crator, Grand Canyon South Rim, Hoover Dam, Las Vegas, on up to Yellowstone, Mount Rushmore and then back to Maine. We drove 4000 miles and the only glitch was a bad radiator cap that made me think it was overheating but it wasn't. 3.8, FWD with really comfortable seats. Stow n Go seats were great too because we didn't need all that seating so folding them into the floor was awesome. 4th Chrysler T&C I've had. Love 'em. 23.5 mpg going 80 most of the driving we did out west."
Pros: "Solid vehicle. Good looking and TONS of room."
Cons: "Fuel economy could be better."

"Replaced parts over the years including A/C, water pump, radiator, hoses and pipes, shocks and struts.
The swap out of the shocks and struts was a huge improvement. Added combo-shock w/ spring in the back to allow extra load without sacrificing ride comfort. Before putting the extra springs, a van of 7 adults could ride a bit low and cause those in the back to jet a jolt of going over a bump.
Its been a great van and has taken us on many great a great journey. I can only hope that my next one holds up as long. With a little time and some mechanical inclination, it's a surprisingly user serviceable vehicle.
I didn't run into the issue noted by others where front breaks wear fast... I did, however, put the upgraded high-carbon disks on all 4 wheels with really good break pads. Stopped all break noise and they will outlast the life of the vehicle for only 10% more."
"I have 218,000 miles on my 2002 T&C. Bought it when it had 46K miles on the 3.3 engine. The starter was just replaced about 7 months ago. It still has the original alternator. No engine or Trans problems ever. Replaced water pump in summer of 2014. Everything works on it. It easily pulls my 26 foot MacGregor motor/sailboat that is on a double axle trailer.
I am looking to buy a 2007 now."
"I am in the military and my family and I have orders to Miami and the military will only pay for one vehicle to get shipped. This is a great van for a larger family especially for the island life. All the seats fold into the vehicle so you can load all sorts of stuff inside the van as well."
"Nothing but trouble since day 1.Replaced Brake rotors 6k, burns oil Mopar says it's normal. Replaced 3 door locks,EGR Valve, wheel sensor, idler pulleys, cat converter, sliding door harness twice, rear AC evaporator, throttle body needs cleaning every 15k, Rusting out right rear quarter panel same places in many models of the same year, many more defects to mention.
I purchased this new and would never buy another Mopar product as long as I live. They are all built with cheapest parts they can vendor.
I am a 35 year veteran mechanic!
You wonder why USA buys foreign cars! Stay away from Chrysler products, you will be sorry."
