What Owners are Saying About the 2001 Chrysler Prowler
"Fell in love with it the first time I saw it"
"I bought this new off a showroom floor. Most satisfying 44k I ever spent. I love this car. I primarily take it to car shows. It Gets a lot of attention but no trophies. More people will want to have their picture taken next to this car than any other car in the show. this car is not the most comfortable ride in town, but it is the best eye candy."
"Most fun car I have ever owned"
"This car is like a one man car show. The Prowler is hardly ever seen on the road these days. People always want to ask questions about the car every time you stop to fill up with gas. Miles and Miles of smiles."
"Great looking timeless design"
"Let's face it, most people love the way this car looks. I have many vehicles...classics, luxury and modern sports cars, but this car gets more attention than any of them! Most people don't even know what it is! They cant figure out if it's new, old or a hand built custom. If you don't like attention...this is NOT the car for you. Everywhere you go, every stop you make, you WILL be questioned. It appeals to everyone from 5 to 95 years old. Unfortunately, this car does NOT drive and perform as good as it looks. It's underpowered, rough, shaky and cheap feeling when driving. If the roads aren't glass smooth, plan on getting irritated with the ride long before you have to stop and take a leak. You will however, have to stop often 'cause it only holds a little more than ten gallons of gas and the fuel gauge is unpredictable at best. It was obviously designed as a local cruiser. You will have enough room in the trunk for some detailing supplies and a jacket....THAT's IT! EVERYONE is shocked at the lack of space available in this car. The exhaust system fails to make a sound that stirs your soul. The sound it does make is almost embarrassing! A combination of a two stroke golf cart and a Buick with a hole in the muffler! It's screaming "I SHOULD'VE HAD A V8!". Handling is pretty good when the roads get twisty, but again...only if the roads are PERFECT. It probably sounds like I'm dogging this car. However, it has such a quirky personality, it grows on you. You feel proud to own such a unique and rare car. It feels as though you are driving a 70 year old classic but when you look in the rear view mirror you are comforted by the presence of an on-board computer and thermometer. Steering wheel mounted radio controls, climate control, and the CD changer also soothes the aches and pains of the poor build quality. I'm always thinking...why did they build this thing! But my next thought is always....I'm glad they did!!"
