The Chrysler Pacifica continues the brand’s legacy of practical and family-friendly minivans with a premium touch. Pricing starts at $44,445.
Over 40 years after Chrysler invented the minivan, it’s still producing a competitive player in this class. The Chrysler Pacifica carries the torch with a practical and family-friendly interior, good safety ratings, luxurious options, and effortless driveability. Its class-exclusive Stow ‘n Go seating makes it easy to convert from a passenger van to a cargo van by folding all of the back seats flat into the floor. Meanwhile, available all-wheel drive (AWD) enhances its versatility and provides better year-round traction in snowy climates. It can even get pretty fancy in the top Pinnacle trim while still being more affordable than the average 3-row luxury SUV.
We’ve spent hundreds of hours driving and evaluating this generation of minivans, including the 2025 Chrysler Pacifica.
The Chrysler Pacifica has a new trim structure for 2025. The old Touring and Touring L trims are gone, and the new Select model is now the base trim. This restructuring results in more standard features on the base model, and all-wheel drive is now optional on every trim (it wasn’t available on the old Pacifica Touring). Those newly standard features include an auto-dimming mirror, second-row one-touch windows, a universal garage door opener, and premium carpets. Also, the sporty S Appearance Package now comes standard on the midrange Limited trim.
The 2025 Chrysler Pacifica has a starting sticker price of $44,445, with the range-topping Pacifica Pinnacle kicking off at $56,230. But Kelley Blue Book Fair Purchase Pricing currently suggests paying $2,104 to $2,321 less than MSRP, depending on trim and equipment. These prices are updated weekly.
MSRP | KBB Fair Purchase Price (national avg.) | |||
---|---|---|---|---|
$44,445 | $42,320 | |||
$51,565 | $49,244 | |||
$56,230 | $54,126 |
The 2025 Chrysler Pacifica starts at $44,145. That’s for the base Select trim with front-wheel drive (FWD). All-wheel drive is a $2,995 option on every trim. The top Pinnacle trim begins at $55,930. With the shuffling of trim levels, we suspect the Select will be the most popular Pacifica grade. It’s the one we’d pick and probably add all-wheel drive. Although nicely equipped, the Pacifica’s starting price is higher than its in-segment rivals like the Toyota Sienna and Honda Odyssey.
Before buying a Pacifica, check the Kelley Blue Book Fair Purchase Price to know what you should really pay. Chrysler Pacifica resale value is the lowest in the minivan segment. On the flip side, used Pacifica models tend to be relatively inexpensive.
The 2025 Chrysler Pacifica is powered by a 287-horsepower V6 engine matched with a 9-speed automatic transmission and front- or all-wheel drive. This engine is perfect for a minivan. There’s no shortage of power, making the Pacifica easy to drive, even when loaded with passengers and cargo.
We found driving comfort to be one of the Pacifica’s strong suits. For dropping off kids at school and long-distance road trips alike, the pleasant ride quality of the Pacifica makes it an accommodating family vehicle.
The optional all-wheel-drive system ensures the Pacifica is one of the best vehicles for families where the roads get ugly in winter. Granted, the Toyota Sienna also offers all-wheel drive, but we still love to see it as an option on any minivan.
The Chrysler Pacifica gets 22 combined mpg with front-wheel drive and 20 mpg with all-wheel drive. That front-wheel-drive fuel economy rating is identical to that of the Honda Odyssey and one mpg better than that of the non-hybrid Kia Carnival.
The hybrid-powered Toyota Sienna is more efficient, returning up to 36 mpg, and the available hybrid powertrain in the Kia Carnival gets 33 mpg. However, the plug-in hybrid variant of the Pacifica has lower estimated fuel/electricity costs than both and can go up to 32 miles on electricity alone.
The spacious interior of the Chrysler Pacifica is full of modern amenities and technology. It’s available with premium features like Nappa leather seating, a Harman Kardon premium audio system, and wireless phone charging. On the more practical side, you can also get a built-in vacuum cleaner, a “FamCAM” in-car camera system, and a rear entertainment system to make road trips more enjoyable for your passengers. That optional entertainment system still comes with a Blu-Ray/DVD player, which was just discontinued in the Honda Odyssey this year.
Clearly designed with families in mind, the Pacifica comes standard with Stow ‘n Go seating; the second- and third-row seats can fold flat into the floor. Transforming the Pacfica from a passenger van to a cargo van is nearly effortless, without having to remove heavy seats and find a spot for them in the garage. Stow ‘n Go is our favorite feature that’s unique to the Pacifica; no other minivan has fold-flat second-row seats.
When those seats are in place, there’s no bad seat in the Pacifica. You get 39 inches of second-row legroom; even the third row is adult-friendly with 36.5 inches of legroom. That’s more third-row legroom than the Kia Carnival, but the Honda Odyssey and Toyota Sienna boast over 38 inches of legroom in the way back. In our testing, the Easy Tilt second-row captain’s chairs made the third row easier to access, even with child car seats installed. Minivans are all about family hauling and the Pacifica is at the top of its game in this regard.
As for the vast cargo space, dimensions of 32.3 cubic feet behind the third row, 87.5 cubic feet behind the second row, and 140.5 cubic feet behind the third row are close to the average for a minivan. The Pacifica has more cargo space than the Toyota Sienna and much more cargo space than any midsize 3-row SUV.
The Chrysler Pacifica has a modern look with stylish wheels, a sleek light signature, and practical features like sliding doors. We love that the S Appearance Package now comes standard on the Limited trim, giving it a little extra visual flair. This is a minivan the kids (and the driver) won’t be embarrassed to climb out of.
Stow ‘n Go seating
The Chrysler Pacifica comes standard with the handy Stow ‘n Go seating system. The second- and third-row seats can fold flat into the floor, giving you tons of cargo space without needing to take any seats out of the van. We appreciate that after dropping the kids off in car line that we can stop at the home-improvement store, fold the rear seats flat, and haul home a full sheet of plywood.
Available all-wheel drive
This option makes this minivan a good choice for families in snowy climates. All-wheel drive is available on all three trims of the Chrysler Pacifica.
Luxurious Pinnacle trim
The Chrysler Pacifica Pinnacle is one of the most luxurious minivans on the market. Features like quilted Nappa leather upholstery, lumbar pillows in the second row, Berber carpet, premium audio, and what Chrysler calls the Ultra Console make this a luxury vehicle with family-friendly seating for seven.
Uconnect infotainment system
We love the user-friendly Uconnect infotainment system in the Pacifica. It comes standard with a 10.1-inch screen, SiriusXM, and wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.
Safety tech
The Pacifica delivers the peace of mind families expect from a minivan with standard safety features like automatic emergency braking, adaptive cruise control, lane-departure warning, and blind-spot monitoring.
Stow ‘n Vac
Chrysler knows that minivans can get messy. The available Stow ‘n Vac feature is a Rigid vacuum cleaner behind the second row, making it a little easier to keep the interior clean. We found this especially convenient when things got messy while on a road trip.
The Chrysler Pacifica is powered by a 3.6-liter V6 that makes 287 hp and 262 lb-ft of torque. Output is sent to the front or all four wheels via a 9-speed automatic transmission. This engine’s performance and fuel economy are typical for a V6-powered minivan. More efficient options include the hybrid-powered Toyota Sienna or Kia Carnival and the plug-in hybrid variant of the Pacifica.
The Pacifica has best-in-class towing, but only by a little bit. It can pull up to 3,600 pounds, and its three big rivals all have a 3,500-pound tow rating.
More Pacifica fuel economy information is available at the EPA’s website.
The Chrysler Pacifica is backed by a 3-year/36,000-mile basic warranty and a 5-year/60,000-mile powertrain warranty. That coverage matches the Odyssey and Sienna, but the Kia Carnival has a 5-year/60,000-mile basic warranty and a 10-year/100,000-mile powertrain warranty.
As families expect from minivans, the Chrysler Pacifica has stellar safety ratings. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) gives it a 5-Star overall safety rating, and the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) has awarded it the honor of Top Safety Pick for the 2024 model year. Its superb safety ratings come from favorable crash-test results and abundant standard safety features.
