Pros

Great on gas, easy to do maintenance, reliable.

Cons

Very weak 4 cylinder engine.

I own a 2001 Chevy S10 pickup. Base model. It does have a 5 speed manual, a great AC and a stereo CD player. It is low miles (103K) and used mainly as a work truck. Haul wood, take off the garbage and used in construction. 22 years old, 3 sets of tires, 3 sets of brakes, a new clutch with slave cylinder. That's it. 26 mpg on the highway, 20 around town. This is a 4 cylinder that does not have a lot of power to pull. However, it has served its function incredibly with no issues at all. Not once. Just wear and tear normal routine maintenance. Synthetic oil every 5K miles, timing belt at 50K and 100K. That's it. I plan to drive it another 10 years.
