Cons: "Wish it had IPod hook up but they didn't then."

"Outside of a few repairs I have had good luck with my 2005 Impala. I love the comfort & style. I was hesitant to buy a new Impala because I like the bench seat style.
I had a few instances of the car not starting which ended up being a starter replacement. I also had a more extensive repair that was caused by my not getting a minor part replaced as soon as I could have. Due to my procrastination it caused another part to go bad. It would have been a $1,500.00 repair. I'm fortunate to have a son who is a mechanic at a Chevy dealer. I have a few spots on the trunk lid where the paint has peeled but there is no rust & the car still looks great being 10 years old."
"Great car. Bought used. Got the 3.4L engine. Very reliable. Drives great. Roomy. I would buyanother. Be weary of Ford guys posting bogus reviews. I own both. And properly maintain both. Plus there is no timing belt to change every 70k miles. These cars are known for being reliable. So when you read a post saying the car blew up at 70 or 100 thousand miles, you know that's false."
"We have owned this car for about a year. It was a single owner, well maintained car with low mileage for the year. On the plus side the car rides and handles well for a big car, gets very good fuel mileage on the highway and is whisper quiet at highway speeds. On the negative side I have spent the past several weeks fixing the car. So far I have replaced the IAC motor, MAF sensor, transmission and all four rotors and pads. At this point I spent more on repairs than I spent on the car and told my wife that one more failure and it gets traded for a Ford."
Cons: "Money pit... MONEY PIT..... a deep MONEY PIT..."

"My GF purchased this used from a reputable dealer - with low miles in 2006.... Went there often for every little routine maintenance and some expensive unexpected repairs. She still loved it. Then drove it to MD and used it here for a couple of years. But then the big buck repairs started coming in often... plus sensors went crazy.
She stopped loving it when she started paying out more than the car was worth. Was thrilled to dump it .... er..trade it in."
"Bought at 42,000 miles, now up to 132,000 in 3 years. NO - repeat - NO engine problems, possibly the best engine in a car I have ever owned.
Had to fully replace trans, my fault, I am hard on cars. Trans replaced at 52,000 miles, NO problems since.
Can get 25 mpg on highway and "not much stopping" travel. Just plain a great used car to buy.
It's all about the engine!"
