  • The 2024-2027 Toyota Land Cruiser is being recalled for a loose fuel tube connection.
  • Toyota estimates that 106,000 Land Cruisers are affected.

Toyota is recalling approximately 106,000 Land Cruiser SUVs over a potential fuel leak that could increase the risk of a fire, Toyota disclosed Wednesday. The recall affects certain 2024-2027 model-year vehicles in the United States.

The issue involves a fuel tube connection that could disconnect and allow fuel to leak. Although the hybrid system will shut off, a fuel leak that comes into contact with an ignition source could increase the risk of fire.

The recall affects specific vehicles from the following model years:

Toyota warns that leaking fuel could create a fire risk if an ignition source is present. Toyota will notify owners and ask them to bring their vehicles to a dealership for inspection. Dealers will check the fuel tube connection and install an additional clamp to prevent it from disconnecting, if necessary, and the resin fuel tube may be replaced.

The Land Cruiser was resurrected as new in 2024 with a turbocharged 2.4-liter 4-cylinder engine and hybrid system.

The inspection and repairs will be performed free of charge, as if the case with every recall. Toyota expects to notify affected owners around December 2026.
