After last year’s redesign, the 2027 Honda Passport seeks to improve its off-road capabilities even more. Standard V6 power and a reengineered off-road suspension, with an additional 1.4 inches of ground clearance, give you the boost you need. New amber hood lights and a Multiview camera system with TrailWatch guide you through tough terrain with peace of mind.

When not tackling rugged terrain, drivers and passengers can relax in its spacious cabin and enjoy a myriad of technological features. Bold styling and innovative systems, like the second-generation i-VTM4 all-wheel drive (AWD) system, make the Passport attractive for adventurers and non-adventurers alike.

Passenger Room and Comfort

Our experts praise the room in the Passport cabin. It can comfortably seat five, offering over 40 inches of head and legroom in the first and second rows for almost every trim. As far as shoulder room goes, the Passport is head and shoulders above the competition, offering over 61 inches for both first and second row passengers.

Temperature controls also make the Passport cabin extra comfy. Tri-zone climate controls allow the driver, passenger, and rear passengers to choose their temperatures. Heated front seats, and in the case of the TrailSport Elite Trim, ventilated front seats, give passengers up front added options.

Features and Tech

The Passport is well equipped with standard features, including a 12.3-inch touchscreen, a 10.2-inch digital gauge cluster, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, and a power liftgate. Other tech highlights include Alexa Built-In, wireless phone charging, a 9-speaker sound system, and a Bose premium sound system on the TrailSport Elite trim.

The Honda Sensing Suite uses technology to help keep drivers and their passengers safe. This includes Collision Mitigation Braking System, Road Departure Mitigation System, Adaptive Cruise Control with Low-Speed Follow, Lane Keeping Assist, and more.

Materials and Design

Leather-and-cloth seats add an expensive feel to the lower RTL trims. Orange stitching and accents give a fun, bolder feel to the TrailSport and TrailSport Blackout. Perforated leather with contrast stitching and black piping adds a touch of elegance to the top-of-the-line TrailSport Elite. Details matter too. The Passport’s steering wheel is leather-wrapped, with the addition of being heated on the top two Elite trims.

Cargo Room and Flexibility

The Passport can carry you through daily life as well. A generous 44 cubic feet is available behind the backseats. With the 60/40 seats folded, the size nearly doubles to 83.8 cubic feet. Cargo bins with a hidden storage well keep you organized without cluttering the main cabin.
