Jeep unveiled the 2027 Wrangler Switchback on Monday, wrapping up a yearlong celebration of Wrangler’s 85-year history. The Switchback is the 12th and final release in Jeep’s Twelve 4 Twelve special edition series, and it features contrasting exterior colors and new interior details.
The Twelve 4 Twelve series began in November, with Jeep offering a new special edition each month inspired by Wrangler’s history, design, and off-road culture. The Wrangler Moab and its Hemi V8 kicked off the series, and a Wrangler Willys 392 followed.
For the finale, the Wrangler Switchback puts its own spin on customization with contrasting Gloss Black and Sting-Gray hoods and doors for a 2-tone look. The combination gives the appearance of two different color Wranglers by swapping out doors and hoods.
The Switchback also features Gecko green accents wrapped around the grille, hood graphics, beadlock wheel rings, and the swing gate decal.
Other details include a 3-piece hardtop in Gloss Black or Sting-Gray, black badging, and black tow hooks.
Inside, the Switchback is wrapped in Nappa leather seats with an engraved Switchback logo. Sea Salt Nappa leather accents cover the instrument cluster, door armrests, and center console. Pearl and Lime stitching adds subtle hues of color throughout the cabin that tie in with the exterior accents.
The final release in the series also includes swing-gate and cupholder plaques illustrating the history of the Wrangler illustrations, including mapping elements as well as Detroit and Toledo “callouts that tell the vehicle’s design and manufacturing story.” The cabin features a Willys satin-chrome shifter medallion and HVAC vent graphics stamped with Jeep’s 7-slot grille.
Orders for the Jeep Wrangler Switchback open in November. The package costs $2,870. Pricing for the 2-door model starts at $66,695, including destination. The 4-door starts at $69,995.
