Dodge Offering Big Discounts On Gas-Powered Chargers

The Dodge Charger seen in purple

The Dodge Power Dollars discount program rides on in 2026, despite the fact that the automaker doesn’t currently offer a V8-powered Charger. Until Aug. 3, buyers can get a $10 price cut per horsepower for select gas-powered Charger models, with savings adding up to $5,500 for the top trim level.

While the Power Dollars discounts were more significant when the automaker offered V8 options, $5,500 is nothing to sneeze at. That incentive applies to the 2026 Dodge Charger Scat Pack, which has 550 horsepower. The R/T trim comes with a $4,200 discount, reflecting its 420 hp rating.

Dodge CEO Matt McAlear said, “Nobody rewards horsepower like Dodge. Our customers relish power, and Power Dollars helps give them more for less.” For reference, the base 2-door R/T starts at $51,990, which includes a $1,995 destination charge, and the top Scat Pack lands at $56,990. Dodge offers 4-door models for a slight upcharge.

The new Charger might lack the thrust of a Hellcat V8, but the twin-turbocharged Hurricane inline-six engine provides more than enough grunt to have some fun. The R/T’s 420 hp and 468 lb-ft of torque give it a 4.6-second zero-to-60 mph time, and it can run the quarter mile in 12.9 seconds.

The Scat Pack trim is considerably quicker. It delivers 550 hp and 531 lb-ft of torque, reaching 60 mph from a standstill in just 3.9 seconds. The quarter mile passes in 12.2 seconds. Both trims come standard with all-wheel drive (AWD), but they offer an on-demand rear-wheel-drive (RWD) mode, line lock, and launch control.

If you were on the fence about buying a Charger, this could be the push you need to get over the hump. Some conditions apply, however. The Dodge Power Dollars offer applies only to gas-powered Charger models, leaving the electric variants out of the fray. Additionally, the discounts only apply to retail purchases, so you won’t be able to get a price cut for leases.
