Mercedes-Benz’s Smart brand is rolling out a 10th Anniversary Edition 2018 ForTwo Electric Drive Coupe to celebrate a decade of the brand’s sales in the U.S. market.

The 10th Anniversary Smart ForTwo will debut at the 2018 North American International Auto Show in Detroit.

The Anniversary Edition is a $1,950 option and is available for a limited time. Buyers can opt for the package on both of the minicar’s higher trim lines, Passion and Prime, which begin at $25,390 and $26,740, respectively.

Exclusive color

The 10th Anniversary edition city car features an exclusive Sapphire Blue Metallic exterior paint that blends the body into the grille. A special 10th Anniversary badge will adorn the city car that also receives an upgraded Brabus shift knob and floor mats, complete with custom stitching.

The 2-door ForTwo Anniversary Edition has an athletic look with its 16-inch Brabus Monoblock VII wheels finished in Matte Anthracite Grey. The new trim level also incorporates the Sport Package.

Smart, beginning with the 2018 model year, has gone pure EV in the U.S., opting to ax sales of gasoline-powered minicars here that were about $10,000 cheaper.

The Smart ForTwo EV is powered by a lithium-ion battery with an Environmental Protection Agency estimated 58 miles of driving range.
