2027 Jeep Grand Cherokee Upland Rounds Out SUV Lineup

• Jeep’s bestseller gets a new Upland trim with all-terrain tires and recovery tow hooks for $5,000 less than a forthcoming Trailhawk.
• The 2027 Jeep Grand Cherokee starts at $41,515, which is $600 more than the revised 2026 model.
• Pricing for the Overland is $57,895, and $54,995 for the Trailhawk.

Jeep is expanding the Grand Cherokee lineup again. In June, it resurrected the Overland and Trailhawk off-road models for the 2027 Grand Cherokee. Now, Jeep is introducing a new Upland model that adds the all-terrain tires and recovery tow hooks from the Trailhawk’s sandbox, but for $5,000 less than the full Trailhawk.

All of this comes on the heels of a refreshed 2026 Grand Cherokee with a new 324-horsepower turbocharged 2.0-liter 4-cylinder engine.

It’s clear Jeep and parent company Stellantis are giving a full squeeze to juice its best-selling model, which now comes in a dizzying 10 trim levels.

What Is the Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo Upland?

The new Laredo Upland builds off the Laredo Altitude but adds bits of the Trailhawk to make it more off-road ready. In addition to having “Trailhawk-inspired” wheels and a front fascia, it has 18-inch all-terrain tires, recovery tow hooks, a body color roof, gray exterior accents, and, on the inside, black synthetic leather and suede front seats.

It has the 324-hp turbo-4 instead of the V6, and it comes standard with 4-wheel drive (4WD), which is $2,000 extra on other Laredo grades.

How Much Does the 2027 Jeep Grand Cherokee Cost?

Jeep has chosen a steady drip of pricing news instead of a full release. The base Laredo costs $41,515, including the $1,995 destination fee. Jeep swapped in a larger 10.1-inch touchscreen in place of the old 8.4-inch unit to offset the $600 increase over last year’s Laredo.

The Limited trim has a new 20-inch wheel design and a standard wireless device charging pad.

There are seven new exterior colors to choose from.

The Grand Cherokee Trailhawk and Overland go on sale late this year, and pricing for the rest of the lineup is expected in the next month.
