The starting price for a base 2027 Civic LX sedan rises by a modest $300 over last year’s model. The new Sport-L trim adds a little luxury to the middle of the Civic lineup, offering leather upholstery, heated and power-adjustable front seats, and dual-zone climate control. It also gets a few features previously reserved for hybrid models, including illuminated vanity mirrors, silver interior trim, and a passenger-side seatback pocket.

Honda updated the range-topping Sport Touring Hybrid trim with the S+ Shift system, borrowed from the Prelude. It works with the hybrid powertrain to provide simulated shifts, virtual rev-matched downshifts, and “enhanced engine sounds to increase driver sensory connection with the vehicle.”

All 2027 Civic trims come with Honda Sensing advanced driver-assistance features. The suite includes lane-keeping assist, forward collision warning, lane departure warning, adaptive cruise control, automatic emergency braking, and pedestrian detection. Sport trims also get blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert.

While Honda still sells gas-only Civic variants, the hybrid is clearly its priority. The automaker noted that hybrid models have accounted for nearly 30% of Civic sales so far this year. Civic sales are also extremely important for Honda’s efforts to connect with younger buyers, with the automaker saying that the car is “America’s most popular vehicle with Gen Z, first-time buyers, and multicultural customers.”
