2027 Ford F-150 Raptor Reportedly Getting More Affordable

2026 Ford F-150 Raptor

The Ford F-150 Raptor has always been an impressive truck, but it has never been anywhere close to affordable for most buyers. It is reportedly becoming a little less expensive for the 2027 model year, making it more competitive with other beefy off-roaders. With the lower price, however, Ford apparently had to cut some features.

The 2027 Raptor is more than $4,000 less expensive than the previous model year, starting at $77,790, according to a dealer order guide that recently surfaced online. That puts the Ford on equal footing with its closest competitor, the Ram 1500 RHO.

The Raptor’s lower price may help attract buyers, but it comes with some tradeoffs. According to the documents, Ford removed the standard 14-speaker Bang & Olufsen audio system, along with the head-up display, rear heated seats, and power steering column adjustments. Adding those features back requires the 801A options package, which costs $4,120 and actually makes the 2027 model $10 more expensive than its predecessor.

Ford didn’t change the Raptor’s base powertrain, a twin-turbocharged 3.5-liter V6 that makes 450 horsepower and 510 lb-ft of torque. While those numbers are a little light compared to the Ram’s 540 hp and 521 lb-ft of torque, Ford still offers the 720 hp, V8-powered Raptor R, though we don’t yet have that model’s pricing for 2027.

A $4,000-plus price cut is welcome news, especially since the Raptor’s powertrain remains unchanged. Many buyers just want the performance without so many bells and whistles, which makes a cheaper 2027 model more attractive. That said, some may feel nickel-and-dimed by the changes, and the shift illustrates how closely Ford is watching its profit margins heading into the new model year.
