Nissan has announced pricing for the 2027 Murano, and with that comes some changes to the lineup. The SV base trim has been discontinued, leaving the SL, new Dark Armor, and Platinum trims. As a result, the Murano now starts at $45,535, including a $1,545 destination fee.

SV Base Trim Dropped; SL Becomes New Entry Point

Previously, the Murano lineup had the SV trim as its entry-level model, followed by the SL and then the Platinum. Now, for 2027, Nissan has removed the SV trim entirely, making the SL the new entry in the lineup.

The SL trim itself is actually less expensive than before. With destination fees included, the 2026 model started at $48,305, and for 2027, it starts at $45,535. That’s a $2,770 price cut. Still, the price entry has increased overall. The 2026 Murano SV started at $43,215 including. Now the entry point is $2,320 more.

The SL’s lowered price means fewer standard features. For 2027, the SL loses several items that were previously standard on the 2026 model, and many of these are now offered on the new Dark Armor trim instead.

The SL trim no longer includes a standard panoramic moonroof and now has a standard 6-speaker system instead of the Bose Premium 10-speaker audio system on the 2026 model. It also no longer includes Google built-in, Alexa Built-In, or in-vehicle Wi-Fi hot spot and data services.

Under the hood, everything remains the same regardless of trim. All models still use a turbocharged 4-cylinder engine producing 241 horsepower and 260 lb-ft of torque paired with a 9-speed automatic transmission and standard all-wheel drive (AWD). For 2027, a Snow mode is added to all trims.

New Dark Armor Trim Joins the Lineup

Positioned between the SL and Platinum, the new Dark Armor trim picks up many of the premium features that previously helped distinguish the SL.

The Dark Armor model has a moody new look, with darkened accents throughout to make it stand out. It equips newly designed 21-inch alloy wheels, gloss-black side and window molding, and sportier front and rear bumpers.

It also features black Nissan badging elements and a few “Dark Armor” badges, in case you need a reminder.

The trim is available in six exterior color options, but comes exclusively with a dark Graphite interior.
