Although the new 2014 Mercedes-Benz CLA-Class won’t arrive in the U.S. until this September, the automaker has announced that it will be available here as well as in other global markets in a special “CLA Edition 1” configuration. Like previous M-B “Edition 1” models, this high-profile CLA will incorporate a host of unique cosmetic touches and only be produced for 12 months.

To be offered in Mountain Grey, Cosmos Black, Night Black, Cirrus White or designo Polar Silver Magno, the CLA Edition 1 features AMG front/rear fascia aprons and side sills set off with a diamond-look radiator grille that boasts a black fin and chrome inserts, Bi-xenon headlamps and black painted/multi-spoke AMG light-alloy wheels. The car gets an even more aggressive profile as well as a handling thanks to its lowered sport suspension. Inside, the glam index on the CLA Edition 1 is suitably pumped courtesy of a Neon Art interior that features black leather and Dinamica microfibre upholstery materials accented with yellow seat stripes and contrasting yellow topstitching.
Pricing for the U.S. version of the 2014 Mercedes-Benz CLA Edition 1 will be released closer to its on-sale date.
