Subaru
That declaration - to add standard all-wheel-drive to even its most inexpensive model - has helped turn Subaru into a household name, especially in snow country. Head to the ski slopes or your local hiking spot and you're bound to see at least one Subaru Outback, probably outfitted with a rack on top and gobs of gear in the trunk. Spotting a Subaru Forester, Subaru Impreza or Subaru Legacy is also a likely occurrence. Less apt to be off the beaten path are the Subaru WRX and Subaru STI (both based on the Impreza), since these little rockets and their drivers tend to flock to curvy roads to explore handling and horsepower limits.
Vehicles like the Outback and Impreza WRX have attracted plenty of buyers to Subaru, but eventually owners of these cars want or need more space and passenger capacity. For them, the company offers the three-row Subaru Tribeca crossover.
