A 240-horsepower EcoBoost 2.0-liter engine is added to the 2012 Edge's powertrain list. Offered on the SE, SEL and Limited trims, the 4-cylinder EcoBoost engine features turbocharging and gasoline direct injection to achieve an EPA estimated 21 mpg city and 30 mpg highway. EcoBoost-equipped Edge models also feature active grille shutters, which close under certain conditions to improve aerodynamics. Also new is the availability of a passenger's 10-way power seat with power lumbar support.

About Ford Edge

The 2015 Ford Edge marks the second generation of the Blue Oval's midsize SUV, which arrives with a fresh design and new turbocharged engine choices. Though it has grown slightly, the new Edge remains a 2-row, 5-passenger SUV that offers plenty of room for occupants and their belongings, and Ford has resisted the temptation to shoehorn a third row in the vehicle. The Edge uses a sedan-based platform rather than a truck chassis, which enables a comfortable, car-like ride while offering the cargo capacity and utility of an SUV. To better compete with rivals like the also-revamped Nissan Murano, the Toyota Venza and Jeep Grand Cherokee, the 2015 Edge has been re-engineered to be more dynamic on the road yet offer a quieter, higher-grade interior.

Pros: "Sounds awesome, nice power, not much turbo lag"

Cons: "Awkard left driver's foot rest, Myford touch2!"

"Just got a fully loaded Edge Sport! The engine sounds incredible and the noise canceling technology is quite a nice touch. It's deceptively quick and very agile for a vehicle of this size.It puts a smile on my face every time I step on the throttle. Interior design is quite nice, much better then the older model it replaces. The 2015 still has the MyFord touch2, although it's not as bad as what the all the critics seem to say, it's not comparable to the Sync3. Finally, I'd say that one of my biggest pet peeve is that the foot rest for the left driver`s foot is awkwardly placed."

"New AWD SEL just delivered. Remarkable fit and finish, on par with best of Japanese. Interior very understated elegance, all soft padded areas not hard plastic. Drives very European extremely tightly and firm and hugs the road despite size. Very secure feeling and extremely quiet inside the cabin."

Pros: "Reliable, spacious, comfortable"

Cons: "N/A"

Likely to recommend this car? (1-10): 10

"I love m ford edge. The edge's have always been great cars and since they changed their body style, I love them even more. This vehicle is very smooth and large enough for family trips. I have the SEL model with heated leather, back-up camera, etc... This is by far my favorite vehicle I have ever owned. My husband loves it too! Very reliable, spacious, comfortable, and not too tall for short people/older people to get in and out."
