It’s a fuel-cell electric vehicle (FCEV). It’s powered by hydrogen. No emissions other than water. Doesn’t need to be plugged in. Max range: 402 miles (XLE). Six years of complimentary hydrogen if you purchase the Mirai (up to $15,000). Three years of complimentary hydrogen if you lease the Mirai (up to $15,000). Seats five, rear-wheel drive.
Offered only in California. Hydrogen stations are rare (69 total expected by the end of 2021). Big center tunnel divides rear floorboard. Rear seats don’t fold forward to increase cargo room.
