2006 Toyota Highlander

"best car ever"

all around great car.
bought this car new. best car ever. never had any problems with it using general matenance. Change the oil every 3,000. Same power as when I drove it off the lot in 06. Still looks like new. bought a 2017 highlander and kept the 06. my wife loves. so far the 2017 is wonderful. hope it lasts like the 06.

"5 Stars"

Reliable, comfortable. Would recommend to anyone.
Needs rear-view camera.
This is one of the best cars I've owned. Comfortable front and back seats, easy and fun to drive, almost maintenance free and very reliable.

2004 Toyota Highlander

"Nice, comfortable, reliable, affordable, friendly"

Just about everything.
Wind noise is noticeable, but bearable.
A great vehicle. I've owned it for 4 years now and have had nothing but good to say about it. A Mercedes it's not, but I can't afford one of those anyway. Leather interior with heated seats and fold down armrests guarantees comfort. Good heat, a/c and deffoging give comfort and a forgiving suspension only adds to that. It doesn't handle like a sports car, but hey, this thing carries some bulk. Mileage is mediocre, but then I'm not a cross country kind of guy, though this would cut that too, if one cared to pay at the pump for the privilege. Maintenance is minimal, like most Toyota products. Wind noise is somewhat noticeable (hence the Mercedes reference), but not overbearing. I really like this vehicle and highly recommend it.Read less

2003 Toyota Highlander

"Great car"

Great longevity! Reliable. Low maintenance costs.
Cloth seats. Driver side seam went bad.
Bought this car from the dealer new. Have done the dealer services as recommended. When it got to be 13 years old, regular service required all belts and complete new brakes. Those were expensive. However, previously only had done brake pads two or three times and this was first time for belts. Replaced water pump with belts simply due to the age of the car (saving labor if water pump would go bad soon). Replaced some dome lights, battery and headlights over time, and a couple of oxygen sensors, but no major repairs. 2003 might be one of the best years for the Highlander ... almost never see any of these for sale as used cars. It does run better on mid-grade gas v. regular. Gets about 15 mpg in local street driving. Tires need replacing about every 25K miles. The seam on the driver side seat pulled apart after maybe 7 years ... from constant friction of getting in and out. Replaced the seat covering with vinyl with no seam. Problem solved.Read less

2007 Toyota Highlander

"A very nice performing vehicle"

Looks, power, mileage, resale and dependability
Legroom tight for a 6'7" driver.
Well taken care of with hardly a scratch, this vehicle really impresses considering it's 11 year age. New yoko's with rotors and brakes give me assurance that it will be around for awhile as I like to own until repairs become a nuisance. Considering the new model runs around 48k, I'm very happy to own a solid 2007. Toyota's have been extremely dependable for me in the past so I continue to choose that brand. I would definitely recommend looking at the Highlander if you're in the market. My vehicle is the limited awd hybrid which I must admit made me question the purchase as I've never owned a hybrid. The mileage is probably around 27 per and the transition power from electric to fuel is extremely smooth.Read less
