"I cannot begin to tell you how satisfied I am with our 2005 Toyota Highlander. This has been a very, very reliable, low maintenance, excellent quality vehicle I've ever owned. It's just starting to show its age, but this vehicle has served us well for the past 10 years. It is my hope that our next Toyota Highlander will be as reliable as this one has been."
Pros: "It is easy to drive and has never needed repairs."
Cons: "Somewhat loud road noise."

"This model has been problem free. It has never broken down in the 11 years I have owned it. It is not the deluxe model so the road noise is bothersome but overall it is the most dependable vehicle I have owned. I think it will go another 200,000 miles with a little TLC. It is still purring along nicely at 112,000 miles."
"I have a 2007 Sport V6 AWD Highlander. This SUV has been a great car for me. I must say that I would not have bought a 4 cylinder or the regular suspension on this model. It needs the stiffer suspension of the Sport version and the V6 imo...I test drove the regular suspension and hated it lol...way too squishy and wobbly...then tried the Sport with V6 and was hooked! Perfect combination of Camry comfortable suspension with peppier drive and handling of V6 and stiffer suspension.
So I have been driving it for 8 years and everything is working perfect...I think I did have an issue with the ABS light constantly lit up, but I really didn't care after I learned it meant nothing really...I have the tow package and we will be towing a light camper now. This is our go to car for hauling our dogs around town, driving on long trips is a dream to me...the seats were uncomfortable for the first few years, but are softer now.
I actually am supposed to be driving our Accord, but fell in love with the Highlander and make the hubby use the Accord...and I do love Honda Accords...So great all around cargo, dog carrying, hauling and traveling SUV.
I must say the handling in ice is NOT GOOD, I had to upgrade to better tires which helped and I guess the window issue when they are down is there, but we don't really notice, just slide one of the front windows down a bit and it's fine. My daughter is begging me to sell this to her...The only way I would give it up is for a 4runner and that is only because of tow capacity. Otherwise Happy :)"
Pros: "Reliable, roomy, long lasting if well cared"
Cons: "none really"

"We bought this car new over 12 years ago and have been very satisfied with the performance and condition of the highlander. It has always been kept in a garage so that has helped a lot with outside rust etc. Love the sliding roof moon window and split back seats 40/60. We put car seat covers on all seats from the get go so the upholstery is mint condition... with 120 K miles it is just time to get another one!"
