2011 Toyota Avalon

"DON'T BUY BECAUSE THE SEATS WILL HURT YOU"

The 2011 Toyota Avalon was a smooth ride, had power, was roomy, was very nice looking, built to feel safe in. It is not very good on gas mileage but that wasn't the reason I had to sell it. I HAD TO SELL IT BECAUSE I COULD NOT SIT IN THE SEATS AS THEY ARE THE MOST UNCOMFORTABLE SEATS EVER. The sad thing is that I did so much research to find out how long lasting of a car it is. After the short test drives that the dealerships give you, the seat discomfort isn't noticeable so I was horrified to find out after purchasing it that the seat where you sit on felt hard as metal and the seat back where you lean back on pushes in to your lower back. No matter what seat cushions I tried, no matter how much adusting was done to the seat, even taking it to a car upholsterer to have it fitted with more foam, and removing the heating wires, does not make it more comfortable. Now my back is damaged and I can't sit in many cars that I used to sit in with no problem!!!!!Read less

"Smooth riding ...."

Smooth riding
Not so stylus but it will run
The tires that came on the car new they didn't last at all. As far as the car it is dependable it sits 5 adults comfy! My backseat is bigger than muy sister's Tahoe. I get about 25 mpg interstate about 30-33. If I fill up I can go from Mobile,AL to New Orleans and back on a half of tank. The newer Avalon is better looking but a lot smaller. The thing I hate is the key fob its about $400-$650. You have to watch your speed my Mom got a ticket doing 90+mph in a 65 mphand brother doing 76 mph in a 50mph zone. Its easy to hit 60 and know it in town. I never keep a car after a few years I bought it on 2010 with 22k I have 66k 9 years later.Read less
