"I love my Grand Am. I have done all regular maintenance and oil changes. I hope that it will give me the same performance that I got out of my Sunbird.
I had a 1993 Sunbird which I bought new before this and when I sold it, it had over 300,000 miles and no major problems with it and still going strong.
I am so sorry they stopped making Pontiacs."
"This is my second Gand Am. I bought my first in 1996 then 8 years later I gave it to my neice and bought a 2004. In the first five years all I did was change the oil and the brake pads. In 2009 I replaced the waterpump. I think this is a design problem because I replaced the water pump in the 1996 Grand Am too. Other than that I've never taken it to the shop. I had a clicking problem in 2010 which was some dirt on the turn signal assembly which I fixed and in 2011 I changed out my blower resistor module for $25. This car is simple to fix and maintain and the parts are cheap and easy to find on line. Light bulbs and brake pads are at any auto place. This car runs forever and it's really cheap once its a few years old. Good car to give your kids once your done with it because you'll get nothing for the trade in. The guy that rated this car a "one" must have bought a beat up used version."
