All three of the domestic half-ton pickups are newer than the Titan XD; no surprise, they all deliver a better ride and fuel economy. Also, the XD’s diesel engine represents about a $6,000 premium over the 5.6-liter gasoline V8, so it will take longer to pay for itself.
