If you regularly need to seat passengers in the third row and want to stay in the Land Rover family, check out the Discovery. Rivals like the Acura MDX and Lexus’ RX crossover SUV and rugged GX have superior reliability history and cost less, while the Mercedes-Benz GLE, BMW X5 and Volvo XC90 are awash in tech and driver-assistance features and also less expensive.
