Have you been itching to get a new GMC Envoy or Chevrolet TrailBlazer, but you're waiting for some big event to ensure you get the most bang for your buck? We're going to let you in on a little secret: The deal you've been waiting for is at this very moment sitting at the Isuzu dealership. It's the 2008 Ascender, a carbon copy of the GMC and Chevrolet twins, with a nearly-identical price tag but with an additional two years added to the powertrain warranty (seven-years/75,000 miles vs. five-years/100,000 miles). The Ascender is not available with a V8 engine, but it has the same suspension, same interior features and same seating capacity as the GMC and Chevrolet offerings. How can you go wrong?
"Unfamiliar with Isuzu at the time, but needed a 7 seater SUV and the Ascender provided more options and a lower price than the Trailblazer, Yukon, Tahoe, Expedition, etc. Most reliable vehicle I've ever owned!"
"We purchased this vehicle to haul the grand kids and family, pull the boat, pull the motorcycle trailer, etc. With a utility trailer it replaced our pickup. Good decision. Rides great. Wish I had gotten the V8 but the I6 does an OK job for towing. Lots of room for home projects. Very stable 4x4 in bad weather. Has more options than the GMC and Chevrolet counterparts."
"Great Suv for the price. Had a little over 2 yrs and the only 2 problems I've had is the gas tank cap had to be replaced bc the check engine light was coming on and the tensioner pulley-both were covered under warranty. The one drawback is this vehicle does not retain value at all. Don't expect to get nowhere near what you paid if you decide to sell. Overall, its been a great SUV for me and my family. Rides good, great handling and enough pick up with the V6. Fairly good gas mileage even around town."
