What Owners are Saying About the 2005 Hyundai Tiburon

"My 2nd.. 2004 and 2005 current!"

"Bought my USED 4 Cly. automatic 2005 (2nd owner). I'm 5'5", comfortable (for me) and it's now over 200,000 km and still runs like the day I bought it (3 yrs ago). Regular maintenance and tlc is all you need. I would buy another Tiburon as long as they are available. Not into the newer models. She's all I want! Great on gas and travels just fine! Reliable."

"Budget highway cruiser"

"The Hyundai tiburon GTV6 is a car that I overlooked when I was still in Oregon. I thought it would be a boring, slow, uneconomical 2 door but it isnt until you live with it do you understand. The 170hp 2.7L V6 is torquey, will pull on the highway in 5th gear and gets good fuel economy for the size of engine. Averaging about 28mpg combined in my real world driving. Its chuckable around corners and is surprisingly agile for its weight, suspension is a little stiff but is not much of a nuisance if you don't live in an area with poorly maintained roads. The interior is quality with a nice fit and finish, big rear glass and side windows give great visibility when looking around. If you opt for a version with leather seats, they're very durable, thick and easy to clean. But having a black interior without tint will cause the interior to get hot on sunny days (but that's every car with a black interior) the only thing I have to explain to people is that I own a Hyundai. Badges on the car aren't Hyundai badges, they're a special Tiburon badge, so it confuses normal people who ask what car I'm driving. You also have to get over the stigma of driving an early model Hyundai, most people will call it trash or boring. Just drive with confidence knowing that the engine and transmission in this car are easy to work on, are extremely reliable and cheap to maintain. Truly an overlooked car that was tarnished by the previous generations of Hyundai motors."

"One of the best auto I have owned"

"Purchased this car in 2007 with appro $ 20k miles for $15k. NEVER had one problem with it.! TOTALLY FUN to drive! First car ever that made me feel alive when driving it. Only routine maintainace was ever needed. 13 years later it still performs amazingly . And I still enjoy driving it. In fact purchase a new sedan and gave tiburon to my son . One week later I gave the new car to my son and took back my Tibby!"
