About Hyundai Tiburon

Hyundai created a winner with the last year's redesign of its Tiburon sports coupe, which certainly qualifies it for the fun-to-drive description. As part of Hyundai's efforts to update and upgrade most of its current vehicles, the 2008 Tiburon excels in providing the driver with an exhilarating, exuberant ride and the upper-end SE model, in particular, delivers an exceptional package. Three other trim options include the base GS, a refined-performance GT and the more fully-equipped GT Limited.

The Tiburon receives a 220-watt Kenwood sound system and XM Satellite Radio with a three-month free subscription.

Most of the good stuff is under the hood, while the exterior and interior exhibit a few cosmetic changes. The addition of gunmetal-toned accents and MP3 capability should appeal to buyers in the sports car category. New, too, for 2007 are the Tiburon SE's safety features, including stability and traction control.

"Have had this car since new in "01. No mechanical problems, just typical maintenance (oil, tires, brakes, rotors, etc), extremely reliable. After 7 years a little rust spot has appeared on the sunroof lip, and the only annoyance is sometimes the seatbelt retractor sticks. This car corners and handles like slot car, speed racer types would love this car. It's a good thing car magazines underrated the tib because it kept the price down for those of us "in the know" (wink wink)!"

"I have had this car since 80,000. My friends would say that hyundai's dont last and aren't reliable. This car is the most reliable car i have ever seen. Easily the best car Hyundai's made. I had one minor issue with the engine but besides that regular maintenance will get you really far. the 2.0 automatic engine is extremely reliable and actually has a nice feeling to it and can actually compete with a v6. I will definitely buy another hyundai. After 2003 hyundai made some of the best cars, im not sure about suvs."
