If you need a vehicle that can tow more than 4,500 pounds, the Ford Flex takes a back seat to its larger, V8-powered siblings, the Explorer and Expedition. Functionally, the Flex’s third-row seat is not as roomy or easy to access as that of the Chevrolet Traverse.
