Pros: "Phenomenal value. Design is straightforward."
Cons: "Low quality Goodyear bulk tires."

"Bought my 2012 Impala for $13,000 with 30k miles in Feb. 2013. Now 3 1/2 years later and a set of tires, brakes and routine maintenance, the car is humming right along just like the day I bought it. No squeeks or rattles, no major problems. The acceleration from the 3.6l is still exhilerating and gets 33 mpg on the highway. The car was voted most reliable large car by Edmunds."
"I have had a 2010 LT for three years now. I wanted to like this car, and did when I bought it as a CPO with about 28k on it. It has been three years and I am just under 45k on it.
- I like how it looks.
- Good power unless the A/C is on
- Happy with the leather and layout; comfortable interior.
- Good highway mileage.
The bad and ugly:
Three power steering pumps replaced by dealer, wheel bearings, all kinds of suspension and bushing noise, water leaks into the passenger-side cabin with A/C on (even though it is draining out to the ground as it should be), Bose system is fatiguing and impossible to upgrade, horrible heater/ac control (it tries to be automatic but isn't? Hard to explain until you have had to live with it. It really is a terrible setup...either blowing hot or cold with no way to get anything in-between), very bad blind spots both front and rear and the most dismal exterior rearview mirror shape ever designed, major mold issues with the HVAC (TSB issued, problem not solved after repeated attempts by dealer), horrendous panel-gaps and wind noise, scary-weak power window motors, transaxle starting to grind now at low temps under load, cooling fans now make a noise like a bearing is worn...
I could probably list more but it is getting depressing to sit here and think about it. I wanted to love or even just like this car but it is the only car I have ever owned that I have wound up simply hating. It is a frustrating and boring car that looks nice.
I still have bumper-to-bumper warranty on this car, but I have had it. I need to be able to drive my car, not let it sit at the dealership with the mechanics practicing on it.
Just took a hit to trade out of it. I hated it that much."
Cons: "Windshield is cracked, passenger speaker broken"

"Old US border patrol car, runs great, reliable, no rust but one small scratch on the back bumper. windshield is cracked and the passanger side door speaker doesn't work. This car gets me to and from work everyday and has never really given me issues!"
Pros: "great car to drive, fun, powerful, smooth,"
Cons: "poor drive line design, high mantanence"

"Car has lots of power and runs very smooth. Handling is tight and precise. Engine had a dod lifter fail at 105K and another one fail at 165K. Harmonic balance failed at 173K. The front seat heater failed at 120K. The under dash solenoids failed at 125K. I replaced the oil pickup o ring at 173K as preventative maintenance, but it was square and melted to the tube. The transmission has 173K miles and needs a new torque converter and rebuild. It operates in 2nd and 3rd gear but not 1st and 4th. For a 4T65E HD trans, I would say it has inferior design features causing failures that could be avoided. disappointed in the drive train reliability. Such a fun car to drive........"
Cons: "Horrible seats, horrible gas mileage, money pit"

"I bought the car back in 2014 with 46,000 miles. Ever since buying this car i put 3 torque converters into the car, 2 transmissions. The 4 speed auto transmission is garbage. the leather cracks easily, SEATS ARE SO UNCOMFORTABLE, the brakes are trash. Feels like a boat on the road. Recently bought 4 BRAND NEW tires and they are already worn and the wheel alignment is perfect. The turning radius is also horrible. I WOULD NEVER BUY ANOTHER AMERICAN MADE CAR AGAIN. Ill stick with a HONDA, TOYOTA, OR AN INFINITI. i would rather take public transportation before buying another gm car."
