Toyota FT-bH Concept The initials stand for "Future Toyota B-Segment hybrid, a subcompact five-door that embodies a holistic approach to high mpg and low environmental impact. Key elements include a smaller version of Toyota’s gasoline-electric Hybrid Synergy using a 1.0-liter 2-cylinder engine; dramatic body shell weight reduction, with lightweight materials (high-tensile steel, aluminum, magnesium); and exemplary aerodynamics (0.235 Cd). The concept weighs in at 1733 pounds, according to Toyota, some 800 pounds lighter than a new Prius C, with max fuel economy of 112 mpg.
