Subaru’s affordable sports car, the BRZ, returns for 2027 with minimal changes.
Each trim level sees a slight price increase. The base model, the Limited, starts at $37,385, which is $280 higher than the 2026 model. The tS trim starts $400 higher, at $40,015. Both of these numbers include a $1,245 destination charge (Alaska residents will have a $1,395 fee).
What’s New
A small price increase suggests there aren’t many upgrades for the 2027 BRZ. Both models receive updates to Subaru’s EyeSight system, which now includes a wide-angle camera for a wider field of view.
The BRZ tS trim adds rear parking sensors to help drivers maneuver the vehicle into tight spaces.
And that about sums up what’s new for the 2027 BRZ. Meanwhile, its sibling, the Toyota GR86, gets a noticeably heavier round of updates this year, ranging from mechanical refinements to new styling and added features.
Given that these two are developed together, the gap in updates stands out, making comparisons all the more interesting.
What Carries Over
The BRZ will continue to use the 2.4-liter boxer engine, producing 228 horsepower, and will remain rear-wheel drive (RWD). A 6-speed manual transmission with a Torsen limited-slip differential remains standard on both models, but the Limited trim offers an optional automatic transmission with paddle shifters.
The Limited trim continues to feature Ultrasuede seats with red leather accents throughout. The tS trim’s interior features its own colorway: black Ultrasuede with blue contrast stitching and blue leather seat accents.
The Subaru BRZ will arrive at dealerships this fall. Prices are as follows and include the $1,245 destination fee ($1,395 for Alaska).

| BRZ Limited | 6MT | $37,385 |
