Tens of thousands of Jeep enthusiasts gathered in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, this week for the annual Smoky Mountain Invasion, one of the nation’s largest Jeep-focused events.
The Great Smoky Mountains background was only fitting for Jeep’s newest release in its Twelve 4 Twelve Wrangler series, a yearlong program consisting of 12 special-edition Wranglers.
The 10th installment is the Jeep Wrangler Smoky Mountain, donning styling cues that tie back to the scenic mountain range in celebration of one of Jeep’s largest enthusiast events.
Built on the Willys Foundation
The Smoky Mountain special edition shares a platform with the 4-door Wrangler Willys, a trim known for its added off-road style and capability. Mechanically, it largely mirrors the Wrangler Willys. Both feature standard Dana 44 axles, a locking rear differential, steel rock rails, and 33-inch All-Terrain tires.

Smoky Mountain-Inspired Design
Several unique design elements help distinguish the Smoky Mountain special edition from the standard Wrangler Willys. Exterior highlights take inspiration from the Great Smoky Mountains, and include Smoky Mountain-themed hood decals, a gloss-black seven-slot grille, and body-color hardtop and fender flares.
This model also comes with 17-inch smoky black wheels that Jeep says emulate the mountain range’s mist-covered peaks. The smoky-black accents tie the package together, giving the Wrangler a look that lives up to its name.
Premium Interior Touches and Features
Inside, the unique touches continue. The cabin features Black Ferndale cloth seats with an embossed texture that draws out a rugged feel. Additional nods to Jeep’s heritage include 1941 Willys parachute graphics on the front seats and a plaque displayed on the rear swing gate.
Another Easter egg appears on the gray metallic and satin chrome shifter, which features a mama bear and her cub — an ode to the region’s iconic wildlife.
Terracotta stitching and metallic Blaze Orange accents add contrast to the otherwise dark cabin, evoking the colors of a Smoky Mountain sunrise.
The special edition also adds comfort and convenience features that are not originally found on the Wrangler Willys, giving this model a more upscale feel than its off-road roots might suggest. It equips standard heated front seats, a heated steering wheel, dual-zone automatic climate control, and a universal garage door opener.
How to Get It
The 2027 Jeep Wrangler Smoke Mountain special edition is now open for orders. The package is available exclusively on the 4-door Wrangler and can be ordered with either a 2.0-liter automatic or 3.6-liter automatic powertrains. The price is only $80 more than the Wrangler Willys, so if you’re looking for a more distinctive take on the iconic Jeep, now’s the time.
