Porsche has issued a recall covering about 200,000 vehicles because they were built without a cap that keeps their headlights in alignment.
The recall affects many, but not all, examples of the:
- 2003-2006 and 2008-2017 Porsche Cayenne
- 2014 Porsche Cayman
- 2015, 2018, and 2020 Porsche Macan
- 2010-2016 Porsche Panamera
In documents filed with federal safety regulators, Porsche explains “the caps that cover the low-beam headlight horizontal adjustment screws are missing” in the affected vehicles, “which can allow the headlights to be improperly adjusted.”
Dealers will fix the problem by installing the missing caps. By law, recall repairs are always free.
Automakers try to reach every owner with recall notices, but some always slip through the cracks. That leaves millions of Americans driving cars with safety defects they could get repaired free of charge. Find out if your car has any unaddressed recalls at our recall center.
